Handy little store, frequently open later than advertised

Small WH Smith. Free cash machine, inside.

Often without any sandwiches or food for lunch, but useful little shop!

Would give more stars if it weren’t for the odd service. I am staying at the Holiday Inn across the street and several times a day noticed a sign on the door here that said “Be back in 10 minutes” sometimes it was much longer. I went in for a drink (they had Dr. Pepper which was nice) and while I was paying the cashier was eating. The store was full of people and she’s having lunch.

Sadly, this is not the most convenient of convenience stores. There's often only one person manning the tills over lunch, which is usually a busy period, and there are no self service tills to help speed up the service.

The prices, like all WH Smiths, are much higher than other stores but what you can do? There isn't a local alternative and recently there's been a lack of stock, which hasn't pleased hungry customers looking to buy lunch.

Extremely overpriced.

Expensive, understocked at times.

It's overpriced and they are always lacking in stock. We've started advising new colleagues there's little point going as they never have sandwiches in, regardless of whether it's the beginning or end of the week. If you're working in Winnersh Triangle I'd recommend one of the sandwich vans, the local bistro or bringing your own food

If I could, I would leave less than one star. I walked in one early morning and the staff girl was stacking the fridge. I greeted her with a 'morning' but got nothing back, no biggie, but then needed to grab a sandwich for breakfast, and asked if she was about to stack the sandwiches from the large ranges of boxes next to her, and she said ' It will be a long while before I can get to these', I said, would you and chicken sandwiches in there, it would be great if I can grab one... her response... 'probably somewhere' and huffed with an attitude!!. Total lack of service and consideration for customers. I waited for 10 mins prior to this on the till waiting for her to serve me and was totally ignored... absolutely shocking!!!

Rubbish online service as ordered a book on 13 December for a Christmas gift and it didn't arrive in store until 27 December. Had to buy elsewhere. Customer service you can't get in touch with even if you hold more than an hour and they don't respond to emails unless you shame them on Twitter. Won't give my custom to this company again even for my cross stitch magazines.

Rude grumpy staff and the place seems to close very frequently at random times if day, nothing to do with Stick etc, staff are just having an insane amount of breaks.
