Very nice experience.
It’s better to visit here during summer, so the animals will come to drink water.
We went during moderate weather, so we couldn’t spot animals except deers ..
but the boating experience and speeches given by the army peoples are fantastic.

Great place to visit, did a long walking tour with guide Vinod, very knowledgeable and friendly, the highlight was seeing a Sloth Bear, very exciting.

Periyar Tiger reserve is observed by boating by paying two thousand rupees for boat ride. @ one and half hour around the forest to check Tigger existance in the forest and you will see different animals like dear Neil cows wild pigs and also elephant near water shore to drink water. The total tiger strength calcuted is thirty five last year by forest conservative

Must experience the 1:30hrs ferry ride inside the forest a one of its kind. Book the ride online in advance. Best time is evening. Reasonably maintained.

Hicimos el Borger Hiking y nos encanto, agradable paseo por el bosque y el lago, los guías muy simpáticos y explicativos con todo lo que veíamos, animales, insectos, plantas. Nos dieron desayuno y almuerzo básico pero suficiente para aguantar la caminata, algo menos de 15km. Por suerte pudimos ver elefantes en dos ocasiones. Recomendado.
No funciona la reserva online por lo que hay que comprar las entradas en la oficina.
