Mr. Abraham has dedicated his entire life to creating this beautiful, lush spice garden. We visited around 5 PM without expecting much, but the 2 hours we spent there were incredibly informative. Mr. Abraham explained everything in detail with such kindness, making us realize the wonders of the world we knew little about.
The garden features lavish plants and spices like cardamom, pepper and even unique flower plants such as "Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow," and the "Dancing Flower." Even if you don’t know much about plants, Mr. Abraham keeps you engaged and shares every little detail with great pleasure.
This experience is far superior to commercial ones that charge Rs 200 for entry but don't bother to explain anything. The fee here was just Rs 100 per person, but the time and the astonishing plants we saw were worth much more.
Thank you, Abraham. We hope you continue to care for your crops with the same passion.

A visit worth every second. Mr. Abraham is very kind and patient. He explained in detail about the plants. He answered my kids queries even. He requested ₹100 per person for taking his time. Botany students and teachers must plan a trip to his farm for field visit.

He is such a humble man with lot of knowledge about the spices and other plants around the world. If you plan to visit Thekkady one must visit to know little about land of spices in his version. Thank you very much for your time 😊

Mr. Abraham is a third generation farmer. We 4 visited the place after knowing about this place through Google. There are plenty of Spice walks available in Thekkady. What makes Mr. Abraham's spice walk is unique is that he is the owner of the garden and he himself personally tours. While walking through the garden, I was astonished by his knowledge and asked him whether he is a Botanist by qualification. He replied that he's just a FARMER. He's very polite and patient enough to explain any questions thrown at him. 1 Spice walk with him is like attending a Live Botany workshop. Every school kid, everyone who's interested in nature, anyone who wants to learn about plants must visit this place for sure. He requested (not demanded) ₹100 per head for the tour which is very nominal and worth every paisa.

Fantastic tour around Abraham's garden where we got shown a variety of spices and flowers, as well as the processing of cardamom pods. The garden itself is full of amazing plants, and is really beautiful to walk around. Abraham is extremely knowledgeable about the plants, and is more than willing to answer any questions. A highlight of our time in Kerala, would highly recommend!! The shop is a great place for spice-related gifts! Would suggest a visit of 1-2 hours.

This place is a must visit if you are in Thekkady! Don’t go to the commercial spice farms and instead visit Mr Abrahams farm to get a unique personal tour of his amazing farm. He is so knowledgeable and friendly and will tell you about each of the different plants and flowers there! If you’re lucky you can even try some fresh cinnamon leaves and nectar from the flowers 🥰
Go there with time in hand and do visit the store to buy some lovely spices!
The spice farm was the highlight of our Thekkady visit!

Super interesting experience. Abraham has an immense passion and dedication to his craft and he shows it while explaining each plant of his garden. He is a very good guide and his english is excellent.
His garden has the main variety of spices of the region and also a bunch more cool species of fruit trees, flowers and plants.

PS: his garden was showcased in the BBC show "Around the World in 80 gardens"

Overjoyed experience. Anyone visiting thekkady must go here. We were very satisfied and happy aftet visiting this spice garden.

Saw all spices in real. Plants of peppers, elaichi, javitri, robusta arabica and what not. Mr. Abraham is doing this spice farming since last 60 years and it was great meeting him and learning from him.

They have 40acres of spice plantation in thekkady which is amazing. Don’t go for any random person on road asking you for spice visit. Go only For verified one’s, just like this.

We did lots of spice shopping from their spice garden. It was wonderful overall. 10/10 for explanation and the beauty.

Don't bother going to any other spice garden in the area. Abraham will give you a proper tour himself. He's incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the plants in his garden, and also has a few unique plants to show off. His grandfather planted some of the trees, and you can feel the rich heritage of his garden and business. Tour costs vary depending on the duration.

This spice garden doesn't need any introduction. Already covered in Lonely Planet and by the BBC. Abraham is the best possible guide. He is multilingual, approachable, and very friendly. The garden has exquisite vegetation and serene ponds. Abraham has a small shop that provides spices, coffee, oils and crafts out of driftwood. The experience will take around an hour and interested tourists like us would definitely wish to stay back longer. We noticed that other spice gardens are very commonly mistaken for this one. Kindly check the name ABRAHAM and his photo attached. Definitely and highly recommended for GENUINELY INTERESTED people
