A real surprise! I read the comments, but the experience was even better than expected. Three of us dined together and selected a variety of dishes. Everything was served promptly, beautifully plated, and tasted exquisite. Out of the couple of days spent in Stresa, this was the best culinary experience we had.

Great food at extremely reasonable prices. Lovely calm, quiet environment with nicely spaced tables, perfect for a romantic dinner. And the quickest, most efficient service I think I’ve ever experienced!

Excellent food, similarly priced to other inferior restaurants. We loved the half bottle of wine option for lunch - Roero Arneis. Trout Mousse was delightful, fried fish excellent with little fried veggies. Would return.

Really terrific food and service! we enjoyed the hummus and pickled mackerel appetizers, followed by the rabbit and risotto for our entrees. everything was presented beautifully and delicious (maybe best in Stresa!)

I came here with my girlfriend for dinner as every other restaurant in the town seemed to be full.
We were warmly welcomed by the waitress who was very polite and kind. She was always available to give us nice suggestions. We ordered a starter, two main dishes and a cup of wine and all of them were amazing. As a starter I ordered a selection of cheese and cured meat of the area that was spectacular. As a second dish we ordered pasta with foam and capocollo ragù and fried lake fish with season vegetables. Overall really really good food and experience.

The question is what makes a top notch restaurant dining experience? For me that's attention to detail, a refined ambiance, service and most of all the food.
Or you could just come here and see what all that looks, feels and tastes like.
A family run place with the husband, son and daughter in law in the kitchen and mom up front.
The room is sophisticated and warm. All the detail have been covered. At your table you will have a nice flower arrangement and your fork and knife sit on a block of marble so they never touch the table. There is art and vignettes everywhere so as you look around there are stones accents on the walls, paintings, wine glasses ect. You will have plenty to see. As to service my wife dropped her knife and within seconds a new one was brought to the table. Enough said

The food ? Elevated, splendid. And unexpected. I ordered the Iberian pork. Perfectly cooked and displayed served with beets and a yogurt. I have ordered a version of this dish in Miami, spain and Portugal but none rise to the level of this one. The Mrs had the lake fish fry. There was all sort of lightly beaded and flash fried fish along with onions, carrots, zucchini and potatoes. This was not greasy the fish was fresh and plump, just superb. The wine list is extensive with both local wines and wines from Italy and France. I ordered an excellent Rosso de Montalcino.
The dessert was a very inventive mix of chocolate moose, cream and rice cakes. I know it's sounds normal but this was so inventive and delicious the presentation was part of the allure.
We have been in Italy for 21 days now and have been here 4 other times. This is one of the top restaurants we have dined at. The fact that it's family run takes it up a notch. If you are near lake maggiore head here you will thank me.

Unlike most restaurants in t this area, La Botte serve no pizza not sandwichs. The steak was surprised good, even comparing with restaurants in US. grilled fish was tasty too. Wide selection of beers and the service was great. It's a small, cozy, and tasty restaurant.

The food was amazing and original, service was very nice and the place itself is very modern and cute.
I also liked that during this time they were checking temperature at the entrance and there were big spaces between the tables, I felt safe eating there.

A fabulous family run local restaurant serving fresh, tasty and elegantly simple food. The staff were attentive and made you feel welcome, without being overbearing.
We had fresh ravioli filled with trout, and fresh local fish cooked to perfection. The panna cotta with lime was superb. The wine was that suggested by the owner was reasonably price and worked well with the meal.
A must visit restaurant when you are in Stresa.

Top class food. Not vast portions but high quality. Very friendly and efficient service, performed without the frenetic activity of the majority of restaurants in the area. Perfect for a relaxing evening. Not the cheapest, but worth it! You'll probably need to book.

Highly recommend. Wonderful dinner - food, wine and service were brilliant. Our favourite meal so far, after 3 weeks in Italy. The risotto was divine.

A lovely meal. Lovely atmosphere compared to the rush of peak season!
A risotto and a steak after cold starters of beef tatare and meat/cheese plate.
A lemon dessert for me and a lovely mystery cream egg for Yan. A total joy and pleasant meal with good service.

Excellent! We have been in Stresa for a few days and this has by far been the best restaurant we’ve been to. The food was excellent, staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions (I’m not much of a wine connaisseur). The service was well paced, which has not been the case for other places here where we felt a bit rushed. Considering the quality of the food, the prices are very reasonable. A very nice family business worth a visit!
