We knew that this was a beautiful hotel. but we were surprised by the opulence. Also loved the extensive breakfast buffet.

Wonderful old charm and glamour hotel with halls lined with antique artwork. The type of services they had are mostly nonexistent now.
Our room was slightly on worn side but services, facilities and the view made up for it.
They have new, state of art Spa with 2 pools , one indoor and one outdoor with a bar. Very chick and relaxing .

Yes , man have to wear pants for dinner as it’s was old times. My husband had shorts on as we were on backpack trip and in the middle of heatwave . Yes, we were stoped and explained why and then let go🙂
Service during dinner was top class , it felt like we are the only people in restaurant because of the amazing services .The food came precisely and wine glasses filled on time👌

Extraordinary This hotel has everything, fantastic position and views, truly excellent staff, an art gallery tracing the history of Italian art in the hotel. A breakfast with everything and the best pool and spa area I've been to. Wet and dry saunas, lots of spa pools gorgeous outdoor area and garden and at a very reasonable price for what you get. I can't wait to return.

The restaurant offers a stunning indoor and outdoor atmosphere. My meal: farmers style vegetable soup and mushroom aged Parmesan ravioli was absolutely delicious! The Hemingway bar is such an iconic place full of history and beauty! Places you should definitely go to while in Stresa! ❤

The hotel is located close to the shore of Lake Maggiore. The rooms at the front of the hotel have a spectacular view of the lake. The hotel and its surroundings are designed in the style of a palace. Very well made and beautiful. The hotel staff is professional and provides excellent service. The spa at the hotel is excellent. When the hotel is busy, the spa stay is limited to two hours by prior reservation. good breakfast The room is comfortable and well equipped.

The hotel is a beautiful mix of old grandeur and modern luxury. Each floor features a collection of art reminiscent of the V&A, whilst the gym and spa are the height of contemporary elegance.

Our room was sumptuous and worth every penny with incredible lake views. The outdoor pool is a great way to escape the heat and has a fantastic diving pool and the main pool.

The facilities apart it is the lovely staff who made our stay. Every staff member was friendly, professional and courteous. This hotel deserves its five-star rating.

Lovely hotel with beautiful facilities and an amazing location overlooking Lake Maggiore. We stayed for three days in a corner room with stunning lake and Mountain View’s. The room was spotless, soft towels and a large marble bath. The included breakfast was an extensive buffet enjoyed on a covered terrace overlooking a fountain and the lake. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Luca checked us in and showed us personally to our room. He let us know about highlights of the resort, the spa and the beautiful area. The concierge team was friendly and helpful and the cleaning team was amazing making sure the rooms were spotless and always smelled clean. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning to Stresa in the future.

Visited this historic hotel for a step back in time and to have a cocktail while channeling my inner Hemingway. The hotel itself is amazing, while the service and quality of cocktails is not great it still didn't manage to diminish the experience.

Il Borromeo restaurant inside the hotel is absolutely stunning and decorated with luxurious Italian Liberty-style furnishings. The restaurant offers a fresh daily menu, full of local ingredients, and both the food and service were excellent. I will definitely return!

This place is amazing. True 5 star experience from the moment you walk in here. The outdoor pool is massive and the views you get from there are breathtaking. The spa also has an indoor pool and the amenities in there are elite. Sauna, turkish bath, snow room, cool different kinds of showers. The view of Lake Maggiore from my room was dreamy. You can see Isola Bella to the left. I like the old school keys they give you for the room. The bathroom was beautiful with Acqua di Parma products. The shower was the only minor complaint but this is common in Italy. You can just wander around this hotel as it feels like a museum. I definitely did this once or twice as the hallways are filled with awesome antiques. Can’t wait to get back here one day.

Comfortable rooms with decoration everywhere (mosaics in public bathrooms!).
Excellent breakfast.

The only point is the noise from adjacent bathrooms. Isolation is not good.

The hotel is just amazing. Every detail in the building is curated at the maximum and at its best. The rooms are spacious and the view on the lake is just amazing. The offer for breakfast is great huge and there is everything for every taste. It's really a wonderful experience that I would suggest to everyone

The spa and the gym were fantastic. The food at the bistro and terrace excellent. The standard rooms are extremely small but well appointed. It is a beautiful hotel with lots of history. Staff was very friendly and professional
