Emma and staff are amazing, so friendly, so personable! Food is terrific--Aperol spritzes are a favorite! We tried nearly everything on menu as we were in Cortona right upstairs for a week! We highly recommend! Even Pinocchio approved!!

Such a great find. The food, service and atmosphere was delightful. It's an open style restaurant that leaves you feeling like you right on the main passage. We had a variety of food and it was all very good. Once person said the Lasagna was the best they've had.

Really great little place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The only place I've seen serve pancakes!! The owner is a gem who gave us lots of great info for the rest of our trip. The food is all very reasonably priced, and some of it is very good, but I don't recommend bianche pizza unless you know what you're getting into (I blame myself for not knowing I need sauce). Wife says they have the best caramel latte in all Italy

The BEST food and service! My friend and I became good friends with Emma and regulars at Bar 500 while studying in Cortona. We started going for the Vegano salad, and stayed for Emma’s kindness. 100% recommend!!!

Went here a few different times and the food was always great, but more importantly the staff and atmosphere was stellar! The cook was in the kitchen singing and having a great time. It was quite enjoyable to be there. One of the owners even stopped on a slow night to talk to us about where we're from and books we've been reading. Absolutely recommend going here.

Bar 500 is a wonderful little place. The owners are welcoming, the food, is great. Bar 500 was our introduction to Cortona. It set the stage for a great 4 days. Thank you to the owners for being so wonderful.

Excellent informative team led by Emma, who provided clear helpful advice to my wife, who is diary intolerant. Great well prepared food, excellent service, and welcoming atmosphere. 100% recommend!

Very warm welcome from the hostess. We ate outside and could bring our little dogs. The food was good, very generous mixed salads, delicious lasagne and a very tasty local thick spaghetti dish. Excellent. The house red wine was very good as well. We topped it off with espresso and an apple tarte. The hostess was kind and had a few minutes here and there to chat with us we felt wonderfully welcome. Thank you.

The stuff was so friendly. The atmosphere and music were amazing. I recommend this place especially for pasta, and the deserts were looking great.

Emma is an amazing host! The food is delicious, homemade, authentic and the majority of the wine is sourced from local producers. Last night my husband and I ate at a local restaurant with a Michelin Star...in my opinion this restaurant is much better. If you are looking for service with a smile, incredible food and an authentic experience, this is the place for you! 😋🍷🇮🇹

Bar 500 was one of our favourite quick stops in Cortona. Great location, food, drinks, and service. Emma, a fellow dog lover, has flawless English and is incredibly friendly. You feel like family at Bar 500!
