Borgo Valecchie

We spent a week in early July 2024 with our family of 7 people and there are no words that can describe how beautiful this place is. The villa and pool are stunning as are the surrounding areas. The owners are super nice and helpful and their homemade pizzas are to die for. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking to visit the Tuscan/Umbrian countryside and we look forward to coming back soon.

The Epicenter of a Dream Vacation in the Italian Countryside!

We stayed at Borgo Valecchie for 5 nights in October 2016 for what was truly a dream vacation. Our group of 4 adults and 1 young toddler were greeted by a wonderful host family, spacious, private and impeccable accommodations in the heart of the beautiful and scenic Italian countryside in Tuscany. With enough space, rooms and sleeping arrangements, this gorgeous historic villa, easily and comfortably could accommodate 8 to 10 adults, without a problem. A large outdoor swimming pool, an outdoor covered eating lanai, hammock and olive trees greeted us daily on the beautiful grounds of the villa. With a small garden right outside the front door, we were even able to pick some freshly grown vegetables and herbs in order to hand prepare a meal we decided to make one night which included buffalo mozzarella and fresh tomatoes from the garden. One of the highlights of our stay however, was when we were invited by our host family to visit their home on the villa property for an authentic, homemade pizza and wine dinner. Absolutely amazing!

Located about a 15 minute drive from Cortona and a few hours drive from Rome, the villa truly became our home base to explore the many beautiful towns found throughout Tuscany. From Borgo Valecchie, we were able to visit towns such Montepulciano, Sienna and Cortona all within a few minutes to an hour or so drive. And the drives through the scenic countryside were truly breathtaking.

All in all, if you're looking to stay in true Tuscany style, away from the crowds, in embedded in the beautiful culture of the Italian Countryside, this is your place!

Borgo Valecchie is absolutely gorgeous! It’s tucked away in a very quiet area right outside of downtown Cortona and it’s a little slice paradise. My wife and I were treated like royalty and Davide (the owner) made sure we we completely taken care of. He is a professional Sommelier and delivered by far the best wine experience money can buy. I would HIGHLY recommend this place for your next visit and I will be bringing my whole family back to stay at this Villa.
