I discovered Frutta e verdura di Picciafuochi Nunziatina in the middle of the piazza Monday morning. This little family-run fresh fruit & vegetable market is exactly what everyone would dream a little Italian store should be. Friend people with the most beautiful produce I have seen. I bought the fresh figs wrapped in their own leaves. These grapes taste like the vineyard they were grown in. And the most beautiful as well as delicious tomatoes. The tomatoes smell like tomatoes. We will be visiting this store daily during our stay here in Cortona. This is what the Italian dream is all about. Thank You HappuccinoLife.com

Wonderful little shop with friendly service.

I LOVE this little grocery. We visited Cortona for a few days and mostly ate out, but had small meals at home too. We bought our fruits and veggies here and they were so delicious. The melon (during July) was life altering. I’m almost tearing up just thinking about it.

There’s also an attached deli, so one day we got two panini and they were fabulous. We got one salami with roasted veggies and cheese and one porchetta. So yummy and affordable!

Frisches und leckeres Obst zu fairen Preisen. Nebenan gibt es noch warmes Essen, was auch sehr zu empfehlen ist!
