We loved the Cortona Bistrot
We were there two evenings. The food was so special, very fresh ingredients, great arrangements and soo delicious!

Thank you Davide and your wife for these beautiful evenings.
The service was very good and the Restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere.
If you want to sit outside you need make a reservation early :-)

Such a nice place with great food and service. Adults and kids all enjoyed their delicious dishes. And the kitchen is open and for all to see their dishes being prepared. If you come to Cortona and are looking for authentic Italian food in a pleasant setting for a reasonable price, do not look any further. Thanks to all the team for such a pleasant lunch and making us discover la Pinca (a delicious light form of pizza)

What a lovely bistro! Husband and wife team cooking delicious dishes. Tagliatelle ragu bianca was spectacular, raviolloni with pumpkin was heavenly, tartar was beautiful, lovely wines, lovely views, what more could you ask for! Thank you

Unbelievable food from a tiny restaurant run by a couple, Davide and Anita. He runs the front of house and is very friendly, but the real star was the wife/head chef who cooked everything (with one sous chef) visible from the open kitchen. Everything we ordered tasted great, especially the special that day: pesto with zucchini and rocket lettuce mixed in. If you want to sit on the terrace and enjoy the view they recommend making reservations at least 2 days in advance, but there were tables inside that we got without a wait. If you are looking for a restaurant with passion and dishes from the heart, this is a must have.

Service & Quality. A lovely couple own & operate the Bistrot. A lovely view if you’re lucky enough to get an outside table. A few solid wines on the list and many dishes to choose from, yet each with its own specialty. Thank you for such a nice evening.

Wonderful intimate bistro, charmingly decorated, and the owner and his chef wife are an unbeatable team. He greets, seats, and serves with great attention to meeting all desires. Spotless bathrooms are another plus. Pizza is outstanding, lasagna has an innovative presentation that is so enjoyable.

His wife is the chef and she does a great job in the kitchen. Her lasagna is made fresh daily and is to die for. I had the lamb in asparagus cream 😋

The best lasagna I’ve ever had. This place is everything you want from a Tuscan town- a beautiful spot, amazing food, amazing view and great wife & husband duo.

Now, we always read reviews that say “ bets food ever” and take it with a grain of salt, so I’ll do my best to say the same thing but in other words that will hopefully convince you.

We accidentally ended up here for dinner, on the edge of town whilst waiting for another place to open. However as we read the menu we thought, ‘ah let’s go here, it sounds equally as nice’.

I am picky with meat and fins it too strong often but thought, be brave, so I had the fried rabbitt. My partner had the braised meat which was recommended by David.

We’ve been traveling around Europe for 5 months and have eaten at some really nice places, however! We both agreed this was the first place that was a 10/10 in every regard. Both meals were the bomb diggity, such beautifully cooked meats, so good we each got a dessert just to try more of the menu. I had the caprese cake (never heard of it before) which was this rich, velvety, chocolate cake that took you back to a child like tastebuds experience. And my partner had the tiramisu, all of which was so deliciously made from scratch. We plan on going for lunch today so we can try 4 more things from the menu.

Also worth mentioning is the atmosphere, so nice and relaxed. Great music, decor, and so nice to see a happy relaxed kitchen.

Delicious, locally-sourced food, a family-owned business to which Michelin-starred restaurants would doff their hat to. Made our last evening in Cortona a memorable one. Thank you!

Fantastic food, service and ambience. Can only highly recommend this small little restaurant. If you want to get one of the rare places outside with it's amazing view you have to reserve the table ahead of schedule though.

Had the most fabulous lunch and they accommodated me, even though they were closing shortly! Yum!!!

Hidden gem - it was so delicious we drove over an hour the next day for lunch. My husband was in Gnudi heaven! Highly recommend and priced very reasonable

This was the best meal in Cortona. Totally hip vibe but the food was the star. My lamb was amazing. A couple with 3 kids was eating and while they waited they had the kids sit on stools watching the kitchen prepare their meals. Their pasta was even cut smaller for them.

We were a group of four friends. We ate at this small bistro and we really liked it. It had a good vibe and the service is excellent. The open kitchen is a nice plus. The menu was original. The tiramisu and the coffee (I'm picky on coffees) were super good. The bistro is run by a couple. If you want to sit outside, it seems that you should book a table 2 days before. But, eating inside is probably even better because it feels really cozy.

The egg, truffle and cheese appetizer was the single best dish we had in Italy, the place was stunning, and the service was excellent.

Far and away the best place we ate at during our one week stay in Cortona. This feels like a local spot, and the husband and wife that run the place are wonderful hosts. Everything here is absolutely delicious, and the ambience is fabulous. Highly recommended!
