Trattoria Croce del Travaglio

I have spent 2 months in Italy trying the regional dishes of each place, and this is one of the best meals I have ever had. I had the pasta with ragu and white chianina sauce and it was perfection. The meal could only be topped by the quick and friendly service and the cozy atmosphere. If I ever return to Cortona, I will be coming back for lunch and dinner. Grazie mille for the best meal!

We found this place on a whim looking for some lunch and are so glad we did! Incredible pizza, appetizers and pasta. We came back for dinner! Very authentic trattoria, we have never had pizza this style (very thin) and my husband said it is now his favorite he has ever had. Can't wait to come back again!!

Absolutely beautiful pizza: wafer thin base and delicious toppings. I had the Tartufa, which was absolutely to die for, and my son had the salami. Very reasonable prices (about 8 euros each for a large pizza) and the pizzas arrived wonderfully quickly. An unpretentious and welcoming little restaurant which simply specialises in delicious food. Highly recommended. 😁🍕

BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD. My husband and I have lived and travelled all over. We are Chicagoans and have Lived in NYC, two places known for pizza. We've tried pizza all over Italy. THIS is the pizza we talk about to everyone. The crust is like air it's so thin and wonderful. We came back to Cortona just for this pizza! But it is closed in December. We are considering extending our stay in the region just so we can wait until the restaurant opens again. Seriously, it's that good.

Very nice Restaurant in the heart of cortona. The Service (2€ / prs) was very friendly and proffesionel.
We tried antipasti, Pizza tonno and Pizza diavolo.
Everything was realy tasty.

Great food: very thin pizzas and tasty pasta’s. We especially liked the pasta with green tomatoes. Excellent value for money.

The pizzas here are soo thin and flavorful. I personally love the truffle one the most. This place is welcoming and kind to big groups as they have seating in the back as well.

Take away pizza salame di casa!!! Perfect and cheap. Enjoyed the pizza very much.
