Il Capitano

We were so grateful we were able to eat at this restaurant. We got in late in the day and there weren’t many options but this exceeded expectations. eggplant Parmesan we got was some of the best and most unique that we had all in Italy. The view here is beautiful.

This is the place where our wedding was taken this summer. So first of all I want to thank all the people from the Il Capitano Staff.
They really take care of every single detail so our wedding day to be perfect.
The terrace is absolutely a perfect location with a perfect view.
Our wedding menu was so delicious and the plating was so elegant and beautiful. All our guests was impressed by the food.
Also the staff was really helpfull and made our night unforgettable.
If we would do our wedding again, we wouldn't change anything!

Thank you very much to every single person in the staff, and we cannot wait to see you again!

The sunset views are probably the best which made for a seriously romantic atmosphere. My boyfriend and I stopped there for dolce, beer and coffee which were very delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive.
I recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a beautiful setting to enjoy a sweet treat with their loved one. Don't forget to snap a few pics - your Instagram followers will thank you! 🤣 lol

The best view in positano we have had so far - you really get a 360 of everything. Food was 10/10- amazing pasta and fried pizza! Danico, Luigi provided exceptional service. You NEED to come here!!!

View is absolutely amazing, dinner here by sunset was so romantic. Staff spoke English very well and we got best recommendations on wine pairings. We got all seafood and that was the right choice! Appetizers were raw marinated tuna and shrimp with spinach sauce and it wasn’t briny!! Shrimp was actually sweet. I still dream about their lobster risotto, so fresh and the lobster was raw and marinated. I wish I could have them close to my home!! Each plate we were thinking of splitting in half, our server thoughtfully requested kitchen to split them in two different plates. Their desserts were amazing. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars; romantic views, friendly and thoughtful staff, and amazing food.

Stopped here for a quick drink. Manager met us at the front and was very nice and welcoming. Espresso martinis were great and the ambience is beautiful.

Beautiful location for dinner with an amazing view overlooking the Positano shore, fabulous food (grilled fish prepared perfectly) and very attentive and friendly staff. Great thanks to Lorena, Danilo and Luigi for making our last evening one to remember.

Family restaurant with a long story told in the menu. We had dinner several times there while in Positano. Great fresh products and a very good selection of wine. Try the ones from the region, they worth the experience.

Gorgeous setting with an incredible view of the Amalfi coast. Food was delicious, I had the lobster risotto. Service was very kind and helpful.

Some of the best food we had in Positano and definitely the best views. You have basically uninhibited views of the city. It's very romantic (perfect for date night) and was just a wonderful experience. The food is well portioned and well seasoned.

We felt very welcome although we didn't have a reservation. The view is wonderful and the food
is great. Totally recommend it for a romantic dinner. Oh, and there's a lovely cat around!

My wife and I loved this restaurant! Can't say enough about the food, the view, or the service, they were all amazing! We're so glad we ate here on our last night in positano, it was so good!!! Make sure you try the gnocchi or ravioli! They were both delicious!
