We had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Pieve Marsina & Borgo Argenina. As soon as we set foot on the property we realized we should have spent our entire trip there. It’s difficult to properly articulate the serene beauty of the lovingly restored buildings and meticulously maintained surrounding property. They obviously work very hard to keep it as manicured and beautiful as it is. The pool area is wonderful and very relaxing. The private jacuzzi room is a must-do for couples. Tons of different areas around the property to sit and relax privately with a bottle of wine and a meat and cheese board. Highly recommend visiting the very modern co-op grocery store (ample free parking) in Siena to stock up on grocery supplies. We stayed in the Maria suite, it was charming and beautiful as described with a very comfortable and roomy bed. Breakfast is a highlight of this place. Freshly prepared varieties of both sweet and savoury items, including made-to-order eggs and crepes. The standout experience for us was the cooking class, which was well worth the cost.

One of the biggest impressions of our trip was staying at Borgo Argenini. It's old Italian household with separate apartments placed on the beautiful spot on top of the hill overlooking other wineries. Every detail is on it's place, starting from the bedroom and bathroom to the old style kitchen. On the first floor there is a old style kitchen that guest can use or organize private diners. One detail that I especially liked was taking drinks, wine, coffee etc. by just writing what you had on the wooden board (without checking). Love that level of old fashion trust between a guest and it's host. Everybody was really friendly, specially Gabriella who gave us a lot of advices about what to visit in Tuscany. It felt like home. Hope we will come again and visit places that we didn't have a chance. And believe me, there is a lot of things to see. LOVE the Tuscany

We spent 4 nights in Borgo Argenina and it was the most relaxing and chilling time of our travel to Italy. Beautiful surroundings, clean and well maintained swimming pool, gardens of olive trees and grapes, flowers are everywhere.
Rooms look like it’s a museum. Everything decorated to the small details. There are also many good restaurants and wineries around or you can cook something at home as they have all the facilities. Also they have a cooking class on Mondays.
Can’t wait to visit this place again. It was like a dream. Summer dream.

This is the most breathtaking area I’ve ever stayed. We were on the Pieve side of Pieve Marsina & Borgo Argenina as we were three friends staying in a two bedroom apartment/villa. The apartment itself was beautiful with a full kitchen, sitting area, big bathroom and two good size bedrooms, one with a king bed, and one with two singles. Every room had a spectacular view. The beds were comfortable. And even with the extremely hot days, the evenings cooled down for a great sleep. There were fans there if needed, but leaving the windows slightly open did the trick. Breakfast was available each morning for €10 per person and was delivered in a cute basket. There were local wines in the room that you could purchase at a very reasonable price. There were plenty of places to walk around the property and/or have a seat with a cappuccino/Apperal spritz/glass of wine, and just admire the views. Or you could go to the lovely pool with plenty of lounges and shade if that’s what you were looking for. At the pool, there is also a cooler of ice cream and a cooler of various drinks that you could purchase using the honour system. There is a washing machine on site that you can use for free but you have to purchase the required laundry pods. We were happy that the dogs and cats that live here would visit us. Just be aware if you’re not a pet lover/allergic. You really do need a vehicle because there is no restaurant on site. But the restaurants and the wineries that were recommended to us were excellent and all within a 30 minute drive . Florence is about 1 hour away and Siena is about 20 minutes away. There are also many little towns in between. The drive is very curvy and it’s not for the faint of heart. The only thing we didn’t like was leaving.

We had a wonderful stay at Borgo Argenina recently. The setting and buildings are absolutely gorgeous, and everything is in keeping with the traditional style.
The room was lovely and comfortable with a very good A/C. The breakfast was delicious, the pool was beautiful, and everything was clean and well maintained.
We didn’t want to leave!

We recently enjoyed four amazing days at the Borgo Argenina and it was absolutely exceptional. The spacious rooms, bathrooms, common areas, beautiful gardens and vineyard were perfect and Gabriele and Stefania were great hosts. The sunrise and sunset views across the rolling countryside absolutely immersed us into a truly Tuscan experience. The breakfasts at the Borgo Argenina were the best of our entire stay in Italy. They have a great team of service staff and the property is kept spotless.

We highly recommend the Borgo Argenina and its Chianti location as the perfect base for day trips to Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and many other places in Tuscany. We are already looking to return next year.

We had a really great stay at Pieve, the rooms and apartments were spacious, clean and well dressed, the location for views is stunning. Do note that you will need a car to drive to the local villages for groceries and the closest village selling food / groceries is approx 25mins away. However you are very much in the heart of the Chianti region here and only 30mins from Siena.

We spent 3 night here and wish so badly that we had more. Very reasonably priced for the level of service and accommodations. The staff is very kind and gives you great suggestions of things to do. Our time here really felt like a dream.

A beyond amazing estate in the middle of beautiful Chianti, we got a beautiful one-bed house with all equipment necessary for a cozy Winter retreat.
On top of it we enjoyed great hospitality with extra services like hot tub or barbeque and the staff was very friendly.

We certainly want to come back again!

Isolated in the hills of Tuscany. Great if you like twisty roads. Good wifi but limited cell service. Staff are great. Excellent breakfast. Pool is beautiful.

My Wife and I stayed at Borgo Argenina for the first few nights of our honeymoon. What a breathtaking place in the perfect Tuscan Villa!!! It was the perfect place to wind down and RELAX after our wedding. The views are amazing, we woke up looking out on acres of vineyard and orchards as far as we could see. You don't feel like you're at a hotel, you feel as though your staying at a friends house in the Chianti Region of Tuscany. Elena adds to the feeling that you're at a friends home. Her, her employees, and her dogs and cat are all friendly and accommodating! Elena will sit down with you and help you plan the rest of your time in the region. Because we were only there for a few nights we didn't have time to fully explore the area but intent on coming back to visit again! We elected to cook with Elena which was a great experience. Since coming home we have made a similar meal for our family and our selves on a few occasions. If you're looking for a beautiful, relaxing, quiet place to go, this is your spot! If you want to live by your watch and swim in a pool, this is not the place... very laid back atmosphere and good for all ages!

My wife and I spent two nights at Borgo Argenina on our way from Florence to Rome and had a a wonderful experience. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy some world class wine and food after living the city life. Elena and her staff do a fantastic job, the rooms are lovey, the grounds are pristine and the food is amazing. We highly recommend taking the cooking class and getting the full Tuscan experience. Elena also takes the time to review several possible itineraries for your visit which is a huge plus - we had an amazing experience with the two that she provided and it appeared that she had something for everyone. Our only regret is that our time at Borgo Argenina was too short and we're already planning a return trip for next year. Thank you Elena.

Elena was the most charming hostess. The views were breathtaking. The setting was fairytale. The 2 days we had here were definitely not enough but were enough to recharge my heart. We will be doing our best to get back here as soon as we can. Also, the cooking class? Delightful!

I was fortunate to spend a week at Borgo Argenina in April. It was my fourth visit to this lovely B&B so beautifully restored by Elena Nappa. I continue to go back to this location for the serene setting and superb hospitality; but then there is also the amazing food and the beauty of the Chianti region. If you are looking for a central location to explore Tuscany, you have found it. Using the map Elena has prepared you can plan numerous day trips yielding spectacular views and special memories. The restaurant recommendations included on the map are a good way to ensure you will have a great meal. However, the best meal you will have the entire trip is when you take Elena’s cooking class. The ambiance of her rustic Italian kitchen, the view of the vineyard out the windows and the fun experienced with other guests makes for the quintessential Tuscan experience.
As American’s we tend to be about covering the most ground as possible when we travel. Do yourself a favor, slow down. The area deserves more than a two-day glance; you need to feel and experience Chianti and the surrounding area. Many comments can be found in this string of reviews from people indicating they wished they had planned a longer stay because it was the time at Borgo Argenina which proved to be the highlight of their time in Italy. It was certainly the highlight of my first trip to Italy and why I keep returning.

What a wonderful place to vacation in Tuscany. 360 views of vineyards & cute, rustic apartments made our stay even more authentic. Loved the pool and Gabriele was a gracious host. Even with no A/C, the fans and open windows kept us comfortable at night. We chose to have our family reunion there with more than enough space/apartments for 17 people total. We're already dreaming about when we can go back.

Being at the Pieve Marsina has been an excellent experience, we have enjoyed the place, the hotel with all the comforts and a director who has been very generous with us and he has adapted and advanced to our demands very easily. We are very grateful for everything! Very happy with this experience and we would not hesitate to recommend it and return it to another occasion. We have gone to do the Eroica (bicycle route) and if it were the case, it would be the best place to choose: we have kitchen, dining room, living room, good bed and a very adequate bathroom. We could have breakfast outside looking at the beautiful landscape. Everything perfect! Thanks!

The biggest mistake you can make while traveling to Tuscany is not allowing yourself to settle into the divine culture of Italy. We stayed at the beautiful Borgo Argenina for 8 nights; each day was better than the next. While staying there, we met many other friendly visitors and every single one said that same thing, "I wish we were staying longer."

Upon arriving we were greeted by Elena, owner & manager of Borgo Argenina. She sat us down for a review of the area and explained to us the Tuscan way of life over a tasty glass of Chianti. "Here, everyone you meet has the first goal of pleasure. We do things for pleasure firstly and business secondly." And that was indeed what we encountered.

When you stay at Borgo Argenina, you are treated like a family guest. Elena and her angels greet you each day with gracious smiles and helpful spirits. Her pets are willing guides on long tree-lined walks. And the views! My eyes actually teared up with joy at my first glance of the rolling hills.

What impressed me most was Elena herself. She bought the B&B when it was merely rubble. From the photo album in the sitting room, you'll see pics of her sanding doors and painting walls. This inspiring chick came to Tuscany 25 years ago with a ten year old daughter and a dream of restoring the Borgo to its former glory.

Each detail you experience in the home was done by hand and captures the unique rustic experience of days long past. And because of this, your mind settles, your shoulders relax and a smile sneaks up on your face without any effort. This is an authentic Tuscan paradise.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we are organizing a group of our patients to join us for a wellness retreat next year at Borgo Argenina. The views alone will help people heal. Wishing you happy travels!

We had the most wonderful experience at La Pieve Marsina. Amazing host, location, accommodation, and atmosphere. Absolutely the highlight of our trip in Italy. If you are looking for a place to stay while in Tuscany, look no further. The exceptional beauty of the property and hospitality of Babi (the owner/host) will stay with me for life.

Borgo Argenina is such a great experience. It lies only a stone’s throw from numerous vineyards and wineries in the Chianti region of Tuscany. The property is cozy, beautiful, and managed very well by Elena, who has an admirable passion for the area she calls home. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, the breakfast is delicious, and you’ll probably have the opportunity to meet Giuseppina, the adorable yellow lab that also calls Borgo Argenina home. If you’re looking for a beautiful and charming place to rest your head while visiting Tuscany, you should look no further!
