Castel Monastero RESORT

A true gem in Tuscany. This amazing hotel goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. The two restaurants on the premises are amazing. The wine list is very well put together. Service is impeccable. Our room was upgraded and was a Villa with some amazing views. The pool area was one of the best we encountered. Will highly recommend it.

Property and rooms were fabulous and memorable! Dinner options very limited. And far from other resteraunts. There fine dining experience didn’t offer much variety on menu and portions were very small.

Fantastic luxury resort in the Tuscan countryside. Suite was amazing...2 floors. Service very good and a wonderful breakfast buffet served daily. It is more remote so be prepared to pay for transportation offsite. Amenities are expensive. Excellent experience.

We loved our stay at the Castel Monastero. We found the grounds and property to be beautifully manicured and the rooms comfortably appointed. The resort is remote so having a car is really necessary to explore the towns around Tuscany.

We found all of the staff to be attentive and accommodating.

We will definitely stay again.

It is not often that I go out of my way to write a review on Google, but our experience at Castel Monastero was so amazing that I feel compelled to do so. My husband and I came for our honeymoon and the staff were very attentive and acknowledged our special occasion. Everything was immaculate, including the property grounds, our room, the service, the spa, and Contrada restaurant. I honestly cannot think of a single complaint. We had the most amazing experience and we hope to be back one day!

It was a very nice stay at the resort. Small but feel very personal. Concierge service was excellent, they helped us book multiple tours and we did not have to worry about anything. We enjoyed the spa service as well.

Didn’t stay at the hotel but came for lunch and had an amazing meal! Took a brief tour of the property and rooms and would definitely come back to stay a few nights on another trip! Absolutely gorgeous resort. The surrounding vineyards are beautiful.

Probably the best place on the planet…definitely one of them for sure. I didn’t want to leave. It’s expensive, but well worth it. The grounds are beautiful, the pool, the whole castle is magical. I would skip the restaurant for dinner - that is overpriced for the tastes. Instead splurge for a massage and make sure you go in the hammam - one of the coolest spas I’ve been into, especially the ‘healing’ salt pool - very cool experience. My goal is to take friends and family there. I would plan to stay here and not leave for a few days. The local town is cute and 10 mins away so that’s worth a visit. I just really enjoyed relaxing and not leaving there.

Exceptional: we went with high expectations having read and seen a fair bit about the retreat, and these guys exceeded them in every single way. From the personal, friendly and informative welcome service to the large, spacious, beautifully-decorated rooms, the awesome restaurant (Cantina) service and Michelin-star food quality, to the beautiful pools and generous breakfast served outside in the courtyard, everything was amazing. I cannot recommend the place highly enough. We will undoubtedly return (but for more than one night next time!) ❤ Castel Monastero!

Superb hotel with a beautiful setting in a historic monastery amongst the hills and vineyards of Tuscany. The service here was first class and flawless with special mention to one of the waitstaff Gabriel who was a standout. Both restaurants were of high quality, particularly Contrada which delivered an exceptional set menu experience for a reasonable €80 pp. The room was very spacious and comfortable with lovely views over the monastery and Tuscan landscape. Only minor issues were patchy WiFi and faulty bathroom basin plug. A great stay.

What a find! Was in Siena and decided to do a day trip. Had a hard time finding massages in the area and I found this place because of a CNN article which labeled it one of the top 10 in Europe. 80 euro without a spa service to access pool and spa. My deep tissue was 140 euro and we got to use the spa at no charge. Took about 40 euro taxi ride to get here. Give time to get one back because they don't linger at the hotel. They said they are busy on weekends and holidays. We had the place to ourselves for three hours. So worth a little getaway trip. Would definitely stay at the hotel next time.

What a beautiful resort with everything you could want the views are extraordinary and the service can not be faulted, the parking can get a little squished but that is normal for Italy. The hills are absolutely beautiful and the architecture is amazing surrounded by vineyards a great place to relax

Very beautiful property and buildings on the property. Staff was very nice and food was great! Comfortable rooms, very relaxing. Nice pool area and spa with natural tuscan landscapes.

This .place is beautiful. Driving distance to many other wineries within 30 minutes. It is a bit pricey but you cannot put a price on memories and good laughs and eats. We stayed in the older part of the monastery where the nunns used to stay and the rooms were ejaculate and inviting. Ask for Nick in the restuatant, he was out Google Info on wine and places to visit.

Staff was incredible - went above and beyond helping us with car trouble. Rooms were very comfortable, location was convenient, and food was great.

Best hotel ever. The staff is always going above and beyond. Food is awesome. Gordon restaurant was closed but Cantina is 5 stars.

We came for the Bocelli concert..it was amazing.
We had a special dinner at the Contrada by Chef Luigi...it was to die for
