Excellent after stop for lunch. Staff very friendly and welcoming. No patio today due to rain showers. Lots of wine choices available. Price point worth it. But the lasagna will leave you wanting more. Enjoy a little wine tasting while there. Also enjoyed a glass of Prosecco for starters.

Great dinner experience! I very much appreciated the chef’s sensibility of adding an updated complement to traditional Italian dishes. And though I’m not into presentation, wonderful job doing so.

The staff at La Sosta make dining at their enoteca a fabulous experience. They are all excited about wine and food and making sure that you have a great experience. We enjoyed some very good Brunellos from Montalcino as recommended. The food was delicious. My wife had their special fried fish and I tried the pork belly. So delicious. Knowledgeable staff who are excited to share what they have to offer, an innovative chef preparing great food that matches the great wine. They let us sample an up and coming new dessert that will be very popular. A pistachio cream tart with a Brunello reduction accompanied by some slightly sour grapes. So good.

Great selection of natural and artisan wines, mostly from the region but also some of the best no-chemistry wines from the rest of Italy. Simple and delicate food to accompany the daily selection of wines available by the glass. Add to this knowledgeable and friendly staff. Will visit again.

Excellent food, wine and service. We took the pinci (also called pici in other parts of Tuscany) al ragu and pomodoro. They have a wonderful open terrace, on the other side of the road. Greatly recommend as a lunch stop in Montalcino

This place deserves a Michelin star. I had the best Lamb ever and the meat was perfectly cooked. Great food nicely served.

The sommelier was exceptional, suggested some of the best wines we had in Montalcino. The picni ragu was hands down the best pasta I've ever had. The service was amazing, would absolutely recommend a visit!!

As always: Wonderful food, very helpful and knowledgeable staff, excellent wine selection and a lovely terrace. Their specials are always worth trying although the normal menu is beautiful as well and the food presentation is beautifully sophisticated. The only thing that is missing is a few extra highchairs. Other than that always a wonderful place to stop off at!!!

We stopped by here for a wine tasting which was among the best experiences in Italy. We were looking for to taste a variety of Brunello’s from the region and our waiter(I believe his name is Emilio) didn’t disappoint. He brought out 5 bottles of his favorite producers ranging from 2013 to 2015 and a map to help us understand the Montalcino region.

As a finishing touch he brought out a 6th glass of Canalicchio Sopra 2016 which ended up being our favorite. He left all of the bottles on the table and let us taste through the ones we were especially fond of which I’ve never seen before…an extremely generous and hospitable gesture. The tasting would have cost 25 euro’s, but we bought some wine to ship home. So Emilio covered both our tastings, an appetizer we ordered, and gave us two bottles that we had tasted from to take home. I couldn’t recommend this place more…

Had a great experience here starting with the service and ending with the food! The guys working were very welcoming even at a later hour as the other restaurants in town had closed down. My fiancé had the pork and I had the veal, both very tasty entrees.

Very pleasant restaurant with good food and wonderful staff. Everything we tried from the menu was tasty. The pinci al ragu, pinci al vongole, mozzarella etc. Very good wine list too. Perfectly located. Definitely a place to go when you are in Montalcino.

Traditional tuscan dishes with a modern twist. Excellent chianina carpaccio and pasta (with meat but also vongole or sardines depending on the day). Friendly and young staff. Excellent wine list. Perfect quality / price.

we LOVED La Sosta!! The manager was SO KNOWLEDGEABLE about the Natural Wine producers in the area and was amazing at making recommendations. We chatted with the manager (I wish I remembered her name) for a long time and realized that she knew of the wine shops we went to all the time in NYC. We ended up leaving with 2 delicious bottles of wine - one white and one orange. Highly recommend stopping in this store - especially if you have an appreciation for Natural Wine!
