What absolutely stunning restaurant hidden in a small area of Tuscany. A small family run restaurant that produces top-quality food that makes your soul sing. The pasta and steak were beautifully made and sensational. The staff showed fantastic hospitality, they made us feel welcome and at home. Generous pours of wine too! We look forward to returning soon.

What a fantastic evening the food was the best we have had in Tuscany, classic Tuscan fair, service first class a warm and welcoming restaurant. Can't believe this hasn't got a Michelin star.

Great Tuscan food and it shows off the great ingredients, for a good price. We have come here a number of times over the last couple of decades and this year was one of the best.
It's a great setting, sitting outside on their terrace and has nice view. That coupled with the authentic and beautiful food makes it worth the steep drive to get up to Montebenichi. Also, Ava (front of house) and Gino (the chef) do make a good team and make it a good place to go.
Do ring ahead if you want something particular which might not normally be on the menu, and they are flexible and may be able to get it. We had had Fegato de Cinta Senese here in previous years and didn't realise we could ring ahead and ask for something like this. We will do this in future years now we know this.
Do book though because with just Ava and Gino they have a limited number of bookings per day, mostly dinners from my understanding (but I could be wrong!). We had a great lunch.

Very intimate and charming atmosphere with a fantastic view. Service was amazing as well as the home cooked food. You'll need reservations and it's very limited but absolutely worth it. Perfect Tuscany experience.

We had the best time dining here at Osteria L’Orciaia. Every dish is well prepared by the chef, who hand made everything himself. The owner/chef is knowledgeable, hospital, kind, and humble. We had pecorino with honey, homemade pici with roasted garlic and tomato sauce, pork cutlet with balsamic glaze,and a hefty bistecca alla Fiorentina. After helping us pack our leftovers into boxes, the chef also very kindly offered us some delicious and unique homemade orange-cello.

We really loved it!
After the fun car ride through on to small route, you finally arrive at this 'deserted' village with only one restaurant.
We were early, but were very well received anyway.
Great food paired with an excellent bottle of wine!

We had a fantastic evening filled with incredible food. Simone cooked up a storm and we ate some amazing Tuscan produce. All handmade and prepared with care and genuine love for the food. Unassuming but so worth the visit

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. It's tucked away up in a very small and quiet Tuscan village but well worth the short drive up the mountain. The food is freshly cooked with high quality and local ingredients. The service was impeccable and we were well looked after all evening. Highly recommended.

Great and cozy place with fantastic food and a a nice selection of very good grappas and Tuscan food. I recommend to make an reservation online, especially when you are coming a longer distance.

Incredible! I ate the homemade pasta with meat sauce, it was fantastic. My husband had the veal marsala and my son had the pork with fennel. I tasted both dishes and they were simply amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Excellent food and service. I've seen some reviews complaining about the price. In my opinion the price for a food quality is more than adequate. Little gem in the middle of Tuscan hills. Beautiful place and very nice people

Amazing food but go for the owners. Perfect combination. Welcoming, warm, knowledgeable and as kind as can be. Look around if you like there are many places to eat but few make you feel like you are home.

Best Osteria in Tuscany. The steak we had was amazing. The secluded location with a great view adds to the great atmosphere up on the hill.

All pasta is fresh made; Great house wine. Great service, classic Tuscan decor. High recommendations!
