Azienda Agricola Patrizia Cencioni - Brunello di Montalcino Winery

This was one of our favorites activities in all of Tuscany! Bianca was a wonderful tour guide - we learned so much about the wine process and she answered our many many questions. The wines were delicious and the views were amazing!

We stopped here on our winery tour and enjoyed all the information our tour guide, Alice, shared with us. She provided in-depth and detailed remarks on the history of the winery and how rigorous the regulations are for a wine to be a Brunello wine. After walking around the vineyard and cellars, we were able to go inside and taste their wines. They provided bread with their olive oil and even provided gluten free bread for me (a celiac). Of course we had to bring a couple bottles home with us as we left!

An Unforgettable Experience of Organic Wines at Patrizia Cencioni Vineyard

I had the pleasure of attending a delightful wine tasting at Patrizia Cencioni Vineyard in Montalcino, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience. The vineyard truly impressed me in multiple ways, and I was captivated by their dedication to organic wine production.

Our guide, Alice, was not only an excellent storyteller but also an expert in her field. Her lively and professional presentation of the vineyard's history and their various wines was incredibly inspiring. She created an intimate and relaxed atmosphere where we felt welcomed and engaged throughout the tasting.

We were introduced to three different varieties: Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino, Solarianne, and Rosato rosé wine. Each wine had its own unique character and flavor profile, and it was fascinating to learn about the extensive process behind producing these wines. Alice shared her expert knowledge in an easily understandable manner and patiently answered all our questions.

The tasting was a true delight for my taste buds. The Brunello di Montalcino wines were full-bodied, complex, and of the highest quality. They struck a fantastic balance between fruity notes and soft tannins, providing a long and pleasurable finish. Rosso di Montalcino was a lighter and fresher wine that still managed to retain its character and authenticity. Solarianne and Rosato rosé wine were both surprisingly delicate and perfect for a warm summer day.

After the tasting, I couldn't resist the temptation to purchase a few bottles to take home. The vineyard's wine shop offered a wide selection of their fantastic wines, and it was a true pleasure to have the opportunity to bring some of this expertise home with me.

Overall, my experience at Patrizia Cencioni was an unforgettable journey into the world of organic wines. With an excellent guide like Alice, who made the tasting informative and entertaining, it was a true pleasure to learn about and savor their exceptional wines. I highly recommend visiting this vineyard for an authentic and enriching experience.

Our first visit from the US to Montalcino, in seach of great Brunello. Patrizia Cencioni has outstanding wines and fantastic service. Shipping 6 bottles back to Maryland to relive our experience. Highly recommended!

Sunday afternoon and we phoned to see if they could take us for a tasting. 10 minutes later we were there in a bustling tasting room with lots of little groups trying wine. 3 tasting flights available and we opted for the full 6 wines and olive oil. Great welcome and intro from Arriana (one of the 2 family daughters) and really lovely wines. Their Brunello riserva in particular was special and a good price point for a fine wine. Certainly worth a visit and for those concerned about an English speaking host... don't be, they speak great English. Even had a couple come in and get a tour in Portuguese. Impressive for a small operation. Thank you for the lovely visit.

Simply amazing. This place has superb reviews, and well deserved. Patrizia and her daughters are amazing hosts. We stopped here for an impromptu wine tasting, no reservations, no nothing. Patrizia and her daughters welcomed us, checked all the safety protocols and then sat us for a brilliant tasting of their wines. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We tried their Rosso Di Montalcino, the Brunello, a unique rose and even the grappa. We also tried their olive oil. Guided tasting is offered in both Italian and English. Thanks Patrizia!!

Very professional business with details taken into consideration from the beautiful property to the exquisite labels on the wine. Loved that we could reserve a private tour with wine tasting from their website. Alice was a great tour guide with the answers to all our questions! Wine was delicious and we ordered a box to ship home!

Highly recommend! We enjoyed our experience here. The wine was excellent and our guide Alicia was extremely helpful and great at explaining their process. We ended up shipping a full case of wine home because it was so good!

Came without reservation and they were able to squeeze us in for a tasting, so nice to see the 3 ladies of the house walking around telling us more about the wines. We ended up buying quite a bit of bottles so the tasting was free!

Great spot and differentiating winery offering free drop in tastings. The Riserva and specified selection vintages are also very high quality at a fraction of the price of other wineries. Great service as well. Looking forward to picking up more bottles!

We came to this winery for a friends B-day. The wines were delicious and the staff was fantastic. Don’t miss the 2015 reserve!! It’s amazing. Highly recommend this family owned winery.

We had a really great wine tour and tasting guided by the owner's daughter who took her time to show and explain everything to us, despite the place being busy. We had a 10 month old and a nearly 3 year old with us but this was not a problem. Would highly recommend :)

What a great experience! There were 6 of us and we couldn’t have been more pleased. We have been to wine country all over the world and Anna Lisa was fantastic. The wine was excellent. Collectively we bought more than 12 bottles. Worth the trip!
