Wow!! Definitely one of the best dining experiences I have had in my life.
First, the ambience: Cozy restaurant with a cute backstory inspired by the movie Amelie. Limited number of tables which makes it an intimate experience and ensures that the staff is super attentive. You feel like you’re being taken care of. The chef comes to say hello at the start of the dinner service.

Next, the food: Every dish we ate was absolutely delicious and generous in portion size. The decor and plating was perfect with subtle details to surprise us. We were two and shared everything in the menu. We got the Milanese risotto, duck magret and the ravioli. The chefs ensures that we each got a plate that was curated for our sharing approach so it felt like we were both getting the full experience. Each course (even desert!) has an “appetizer” of some sort on the house.

Finally the staff, super caring and lovely. They took the time to explain to us each item in the dish and the ingredients before we ate making it a full culinary experience.

I hope to return to Baveno just for this exact restaurants experience and love.

It's small place and it's very good. The food is homey and very tasty. The service is exelent. We like the tartar fassan (the portion is fine). Also the fish (corba rossa) is delicious and the portion is big. And big thanks to the owner and the staff. All the best.

Top top top restaurant, we had a last minute booking, we arrived to the restaurant and the minute we entered we felt home! The staff is very friendly and professional, the food was exceptional. Very very recommended!!

If you wanna experience top class service as you would expect it from a top restraurant in New York and if you wanna enjoy amzing food as if you would be in Rome or Paris - this is the place to be. The chef welcomes his guests personally, the service team offers the highest class of perfection. The food variations are worldclass.

The owners are wonderful people, extremely friendly and helpful. The room was the best equipped with amenities of any non-hotel location we stayed on our Europe vacation. Eating at the restaurant will also be a highlight with the many wonderful taste sensations with the delicious food and wines.

Impeccable, a jewel in a small local village by Lago Maggiore. Outstanding service, fantastic plates made by a very skilled chef. I could go on and on, but will emphasize the breadbasket, simply breadtaking 😉

Found this fantastic little Ristorante when looking for somewhere close to our motorhome, and what a find it was! The foood was stunning and very pretty, created with love. Our hosts were lovely, unbelievably attentive and incredibly knowledgeable. Each table was matched in decor to the crystal placed on it, including the flowers and candles. I feel the power of the crystals called out to us and we followed. Thank you.

If you are ever in this small but beautiful town in Italy. You should book dinner here. Small restaurant that does exceptional food. Mixture of Italian food with a nod towards their French neighbours. Showcasing some of the best in local food and wines. Go and enjoy.

We had the best food, service and overall experience at Amelie! We were there on our last night of our honeymoon and the made us feel so special, it was such a great night. The atmosphere is peaceful, the service was exceptional (we were served in fluent English), and the food is delicious.
The chef walked into the restaurant to welcome the guests before the food was served, and the bread basket is a piece of art in addition to being tasteful.

LOCAL GEM 💎 had a lovely evening, and enough good 🥘 and great wine 🍷 prices where reasonable, and portions are quite large (bear in mind when ordering). Chef 👩‍🍳 coming out to say hello was a nice touch. Would recommend.

Homely and hygge ambience but very high quality food from the bread basket, starter, main, pudding, wine, and liquors. Recommend duck breast (with fig, white wine, potato) and porcini risotto (porcini season).

Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Words can’t describe what an extraordinary meal this was. Greeted warmly by the owner and the chef when we arrived, every step of the experience was perfection. The service was professional, polite, and warm, and the food was outrageous. The pesto ravioli was fresh and every flavor could be identified and played a role, and the duck was the best I’ve ever had. True Italian hospitality matched by a passion for their food made for a great night.

The food was very good and the best part was the atmosphere. Perfect place to bring your loved one. I loved the bread basket.

Hospitality out of this world. Cozy, spotless, and well appointed apartment with all mod cons, and a delightful little restaurant downstairs. The owner's kindness and helpfulness can't be described. This is a place to remember in Baveno, with great views over Lake Maggiore just around the corner.

Very charming and delicious! One of our favorite meals we have had after a month in Italy. Highly recommend. Everything was perfect. Portions are on the smaller side so don't be shy when ordering.

I have been here many times over the course of almost 10 years. The restaurant itself, the food and the service is still as exceptional as on the first visit.

When you sit in the restaurant, you can see so much attention to detail. It is like a time/space capsule. Absolutely relaxed and harmonic.

Everything, from the smoked salmon (which was almost like Sashimi), to the Risotto and the main dishes was one of the best I have ever eaten. Some of the meals gave me the impression that they are "living" like nature. The chef just creates wonderful dishes!

Don't be afraid, that this is a restaurant where you only get "stange and small" dishes. The dishes have a perfect size and are special, but not "too special".

Finally the service is simply perfect. There is only space for 15-20people in the restaurant and there are three waitresses who make sure everyone has a great experience.

I hope to be able to visit again soon!
