Hotel Royal Stresa

Had a wonderful stay here, beautiful landscaping, good food, generous breakfast buffet. Nice view of the lake. For the price it was hard to beat! Only wish was to be able to have coffee in our room first thing after waking, which was not possible.

Rare found. Tradition and origin. Paintings collection. Lake Maggiore and Swiss Alps mountain view. Pleasant atmosphere and environment. Details focused. Excellent breakfast and settings. Wonderful people. Perfect option in Stresa.

Great hotel with a great old fashion vibe, we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a deluxe room(415) which gave us an awesome Terrace and view of the lake.
Staff were very friendly. A little bit out of the main part of town but worth the walk.

Beautiful room with fabulous balcony. The only negative thing I can say is that it was a bathtub shower so you HAD to sit in the tub to shower & hold the handle.
Other than that it was spectacular all around. Parking was tight but to be expected.

Just left after a lovely relaxing week. Excellent service, clean comfortable rooms, very good breakfast.
Really good location just 5 mins from lakeside and boats to the islands or Stress, which is a lovely flat walk of 20 mins ,if you stop to admire the scenery! Already planning next year's visit.

This charming hotel gives you the feeling of travelling back in time to the 1950s and 1960s when high society would spend a few weeks or a summer by the lake.
The hotel building dates back to the 1920s but was improved upon when it was bought in 1958.
The building, furniture and overall decor keep the 'old manor by the lake' feeling that I absolutely loved.

Keep in mind that old buildings come with some quirks so please don't expect a modern hotel experience. With that said the AC worked well and I didn't feel cold in the room (it was pretty cold outside).

Try having dinner at the hotel at least once.
They do not serve lunch, and the snacks at the bar are very limited, so plan to have most meals elsewhere.

Overall I strongly recommend a stay here if you like the 'old manor by the lake' experience and you want to spend a few days in the lake Maggiori region.

Such a relaxing weekend, with very professional and accommodating staff , locations which is minutes away from the different island (isola Bella (3 mins)isola pescatore (5 mins)with very good breakfast .(of course the room is quite classic (not that modern) but I like the way it..thanks for the welcome drinks(bottle of wine as your bday gift) and coffee for free ..Such a wonderful experience!😍

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel which is about 250 yards from Lake Maggiore. Sone bedrooms overlook part of the lake and mountains and others overlook the well kept gardens. The hotel staff are very friendly and speak English. The food was excellent and the service very good. The hotel was adorned with some beautiful paintings which have been painted by the owner of the hotel. The lounges and bar areas were comfortable and pleasing. The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom too a good size. There was plenty of wardrobe space, television, safe but no tea making facilities. Our balcony had a table and two chairs which looked out onto the lake and overlooked the swimming pool. The hotel was in easy reach of the ferry which commutes between Stresa and the islands on the lake. Beautiful area with numerous points of interest. Well worth a visit!

We stayed the last days here and we literally had the perfect stay at hotel Royal in Stresa! Perfect service and super friendly staff member! Everyone who's working there is doing their work with all their heart and famiglia Rosa and their team are taking care very well for their guests! The rooms and the hotel area is super clean and there is like a "home feeling" in the hotel area. The atmosphere is friendly and creates an allround well-being.

Fantastic hotel, excellent location, short walk to offices for boat trio to the beautiful islands and the cable car ride .
10 minute walk from the centre along the lake with amazing views.
Our room was clean and very comfortable and breakfast was excellent.

Excellent hotel with a great ambience, particularly in the lounge area. Friendly staff. A great location, just a short walk to the boarding point for the island ferries, 15 minutes' walk into town & 10 minutes to the station. Good breakfast spread. Room was a little small but perfectly adequate for our needs, and the aircon wasn't too intrusive. The pool was great for the hot days. Couldn't really fault anything. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nice hotel for a week stay in Stresa. Within walking distance - along the lake - from the village centre.
Nice and clean rooms and bathrooms, and a good breakfast, Italian style.

Considering the combination of price and hotel itself, it’s great . Not big but with everything and very friendly staffs.
