We were lucky to get a room on our last minute request, the place is stunning, with amazing view, amazing garden! Jacuzzi that can be enjoyed 24/7, which makes it even more great! The breakfast on the terrace was fabulous and rich with everything you could ever wish!
The owners are amazing hosts, we got dinner even tho we checked a bit late, home Cooked dinner which was amazing! Simona drove us even to the next city so we could get a boat to jump islands.

Beautiful hotel, with beautiful views. Amazing service from Simona and her husband who couldn’t do enough for us. Rooms were perfect and clean, and we got new towels and sheets and maintenance every day. Stunning view from the terrace and lovely home cooked Meals for breakfast and dinner. Child friendly too with a small play area, swimming pool and hot tub. Overall a perfect stay for our holiday. Would highly recommend.

Without a doubt one of the best hotels we have stayed at. A beautiful villa from the 19th century. The suite we stayed in was bright and spacious. The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful garden and located on the shores of Lake Maggiore, the view from the windows were spectacular. The breakfast was excellent and delicious. Simona and Alberto were wonderful hosts.

One of our favorite hotels in all of Europe! The 5 star reviews are right on, this hotel offers the best location, exquisite comfortable large rooms, sensational lake views, huge windows open to cool breezes, wonderful breakfasts on the patio with giant trees and lush gardens. Alberto and Simona along with their darling daughters make this family run hotel feel like home. They are beyond kind and caring, they will happily assist in all site seeing near by. The hotel is just minutes away from Stresa where you will find nice shops, restaurants and boats that take you to the islands on Lake Maggiore. The islands were an incredible experience, a must to see. After our 3 month tour of Europe, we had to return to Relais Casali Della Cisterna on our way back to Rome!

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic - gorgeous lake views with a botanical garden throughout the property. The hosts/owners provided excellent service throughout our stay, including a wonderful breakfast array and local recommendations. The rooms and property amenities are lovely and comfortable. We highly recommend and plan to return soon!

My wife and I loved this quiet retreat into the hillside of Lago Maggiore. The owner operators went above and beyond to provide us excellent service. They were so helpful and kind and made us feel at home. This was the best hotel experience on our 2 week French and Italian tour!

So many cool towns and islands to explore around the lake! If you are planning a trip to Maggiore stay here and then get a car to explore all the lake has to offer.

Our stay in Casali della Cisterna was amazing. The hotel is beautiful and with impressive views to the lake. The room was big and spotless. Breakfast was really good too. And best of all the couple running the hotel is kind, friendly and always trying to make you feel at home! They are engaged and looking for the best in all they do. It was an amazing experience to stay here: the rooms all face the Lago Maggiore, the manager family is very nice and assisting. The coffee is good, the pancake is out of this world (so fluffy) and the drinks are tasty and good value for the money.

Beautiful location overlooking the lakes and we truly appreciated our upgrade on arrival to a balcony room. Service was superb, gave so many great local recommendations for food and even sorted out our boat hire. Great choice for breakfast and really delicious - best american pancake I've ever had! We arrived late on our first night and it was no trouble to rustle up some dinner - even offered us a special one off dish they were trialling in addition. Gorgeous traditional decor, spacious rooms and lovely grounds to explore. All in all a wonderful stay and would 100% return.

We stayed here three days last week. It was wonderful. We got an upgrade of the room, which was a very nice surprise. The hosts are extremely kind and provided us with local tips about what to visit and how to get there. Breakfast is lovely, the view is amazing! We had dinner at the hotel the first night and also this was more than great! We can absolutely recommend staying here. 😊 Thank you very much!!!

We loved our stay at Relais Casali della Cisterna. The room, the gardens, the restaurant and of course our hosts, we're all excellent. We look forward to visiting again.

This place is just incredible. It's everything you could wish for: a small but efficient structure, where the service is absolutely amazing, and where you'll feel taken care of. The view from the hotel and the rooms is simply stunning. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable and carefully decorated. Breakfast is very tasteful and you can eat enough for days. It's close to Belgirate (where you can get ferries) and Stresa as well. My goal was to avoid being where everyone goes but remain comfortably close to everything and it worked out perfectly.

This Relais is a true jewel. The beautiful and well maintained gardens are excelled solely by the true and honest hospitality of the hosts who not only make you feel at home but share their enthusiasm for the beauty of Stresa and it's surroundings. The view over the Lago Maggiore is stunning. As are the spacious and elegantly furnished rooms.

If I could, I would score this seriously well-run hotel 10 stars. Simon Annie and his wife have travelled the world in their holidays and brought back every good idea that benefits you, the customer. Although the hotel is rated officially at 3 stars by the Office of Tourism, the standard presented is 5 star. Therein lies the problem. Some customers are demanding 5 star service at 3 star prices.
Breakfast is a sight to behold and I am attaching photos. One example that I have never seen before is honey presented in it's comb, in the frame from the hive. You are provided with a teaspoon to scoop it out. Wow!
We had a Junior Suite on level 3 which was large and luxuriously equipped. Fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, bath/ shower room with phone.. I could go on. Views across the lake are picture post card. Secure on-site parking behind large sliding metal door.
Two items of which you need to be aware are steps and the railway line.
To enter the hotel from the access road entails walking down perhaps 8 steps. No other option. The second point is that a railway line runs directly behind the hotel. I live on a busy road in South Devon, England used by tractors and buses so the noise of the trains did not worry me. It might worry some though .
The Hotel provides a very good light menu if you want to eat in, and the bar is well stocked. If you choose to walk into the town to eat, Simona offers to bring you back by car. We took him up on his kind offer. We arrived by car from Tuscany but some fellow guests from England flew into Milan and caught a train to the Hotel. There is a station 200 metres level walk away and the train journey was very cheap but comfortable and on time. Once on-site, the boats on the lake make a perfect form of transport. We will definitely be coming back and I hope my son and daughter will come too with their children.

A gorgeous quiet tucked away spot. The owners are hospitality angels. And though I live in a gorgeous spot, I often remember and want to experience again the view at the lake & the peace there.
