Hotel Villa Marsili

A million times YES. The location (short walk from town) is great. The views from our room are exceptional. All the staff have been lovely and helpful. The room and bathroom is spacious, with everything you need, including tea and coffee making. The decor is pretty and whimsical and there is free wine and aperitifs in the evening. The only drawback might be for sleepers who need blackout conditions. The curtains do not provide full coverage, so I was awake at 5:45 this morning. But who would want to block out that view!

Hotel Villa Marsili is an experience you will remember for a lifetime. The staff has you feeling as if you have always belonged and they have been waiting on you. The location is perfect with an easy walk to the center of Cortona and easy escape for adventures. The rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast will rival any of the best brunches you have ever had.

Villa Marsili is such a lovely hotel. I cannot say enough good things about the staff, they were always so helpful and kind. The hotel itself is in a great location and very clean. The rooms are very charming and have plenty of storage, just make sure you bring your own washcloths. The breakfast buffet has a vast variety of all kinds of delicious foods, plenty to choose from, even for picky eaters. I definitely would stay here again on my next trip to Cortona.

What fantastic people and what an amazing breakfast! The people that work and run this hotel are genuinely amongst the nicest, friendliest people I have ever encountered. The guest is truly at the center of their efforts and the service is genuine.

The breakfast is easily among my top 3 list worldwide. It is the only meal service they provide so they put all their effort into it. I have eaten things here for breakfast that any star rated restaurant should gladly serve their guests. The range of options is nothing short of amazing and although it sounds like a cliche you can actually taste the love that went into their fantastic dishes.

Top tip, come early to enjoy their breakfast at its fullest, as once its gone it is gone and it will go!

Nothing short of exceptional and value for money is off the chart.

Its was our second time in Cortona. Our first time Staying at Villa Marsilli and it won't be the last. We can't say enough about the hotel, the staff was AMAZING!!! I have to say after spending four weeks in many parts of Italy, it was the best hotel experiences at Villa Marsilli mainly because of the staff. We left after week stay so satisfied and went up to Genvoa to visit cousins. On our way back to Rome we Called Villa Marsilli to make sure they would have accommodations for us. We stay there another three days. We would like to mention All the staff starting with the Director Marina, that explained to us all the food and culture of the area. Reception was always there to help Lvana, Valentina & Sofia. Vincent (the of male on staff) & Yonabell were very attentive at breakfast. Miranda, Sanae & Anna in House keeping were very efficient. Last but not the least...Carmen the Chef. Every morning she had a new dish or pasitry for us to try. God willing we will see them all next year.

Spent 2 night here September 2019. Beautiful hotel, well appointed rooms, super friendly and helpful staff. The provided breakfast was varied and sumptuous! Location in Cortona was perfect, right outside the city walls. We would definitely stay there again.

Villa Marsili is a MUST in your trip to Tuscany. The place is lovely, the rooms were very comfortable, the views are amazing and the whole staff makes you feel at home. They are really nice! We will definitely come back to Cortona and to Villa Marsili!

We loved this hotel with the amazing views and the wonderful staff that couldn’t have been more helpful. Marina was a jewel always trying to make everything perfect for us. Coming back from the restaurant and having a Vin santo with biscotti at night and then a herbal tea. Waking up with the windows open to such a stunning view. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with such a wide choice. We love this hotel and will definitely be back. Grazie Marina!

Such a beautiful setting - large, comfortable rooms. Located in a great area with access to the gardens and the central plaza. You can walk anywhere within Cortona from this hotel or sit outside enjoying a glass of wine watching the sun over the countryside. For those with Celiac Disease, the staff provides fresh breakfast items, as well as pre-packaged muffins. If I get the opportunity to return to the Tuscan Countryside, I will make it a point to stay here.

Simply an awesome experience when you are surrounded with beauty not your type hotel. the staff cuts out at 6:00pm and your left to fend for yourself but I liked it because it felt like I was under the Tuscan Sun

Fantastic service, excellent breakfast, great room, stupendous views of Tuscan hillsides. Bathrooms were a bit dated and the location while away from the touristy square is off of the main road into Cortona so there is some non negligible sound from traffic if you choose to keep the windows open. Overall we loved it despite that.

This is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. The place is so beautiful, the location and view is literally breathtaking (and that's not hyperbole), the attention to detail is minute, the room is comfortable, spotless and charming, the breakfasts are the best I've ever had in any hotel, and to top it all off, everyone who works here is incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. They go far out of their way to do everything they can to improve your stay in one of the world's most idyllic towns.

Very charming. Eccellent views. Convenient lication. We spent 7 nights there. We were very comfortable. The staff is wonderful, and the kitchen us fabulous. There is an incredible breakfast buffet, and the kitchen always provided me with delicious vegetarian options.

Very good location in Cortona with superb view out of your window. Breakfast selection is better than most hotels. Cortona is a short walk away with more restaurants there.
