Very good food, especially the carbonara and parmigiana. The pizza is very tasty 😋 The ambient is very cute and they make food right behind the counter. The waiters are very kind. And they pour your beer almost outside.

I dont know what to say other than it was amazing. We came in exactly as they were opening up in the evening, and it was wonderful. The staff was friendly and quick. The atmosphere is very nice and calm. But the best part was the food. The pasta here is incredible. I just loved it. We even ordered the pasta a second time around because we couldn't get enough. It is freshly made, and you can even watch the whole process behind the counter and talk to the wonderful lady preparing the food! It is amazing here. If you visit Volterra please come here and try the pasta at Porgi l'altra Pancia.

One of the best restaurant in Tuscany I have been too. Much better choice than a lunch or evening meal in Siena. We had 4 different meals and all of them were absolutely delicious.

Sitting by the main street, eating a delicious local specialty, which they make practically on the counter of a beautifully equipped place, drinking a cold beer... Thinking: "life is good". Going back to history to enjoy the present. Highly recommended!

Lovely place for a great meal and good wine. The staff is really nice and helped us in our choice of wine. The pici cacio e pepe were delicious and we took the cheese platter which had 4 types of cheeses, all of them super delicious. The tiramisu as a dessert was the cherry on the cake for a superb evening in Volterra.

The restaurant was great! Good food at very good prices, and the best part was the service. The waiters were very polite, knowledgeable and fast with every request. We had Tagliatelle al Ragu di Chianina and Taglioli al Trufe and both were great. Definitely recommend this place. Grazie, Adriano

Last year we loved this place for it's food, wine and ambiance. Although it is situated in one of the busiest streets of Volterra, it's still nice and comfortable enough to sit and dine outside. But inside is nice as well. We decided to come back this year and we weren't disappointed. Definitely try their selection of local wines and dishes like for instance their 'taglieri' with thin cuts of fresh hams, salamis and wild boar.

An unassuming restaurant with an English menu that suggests this could be a tourist trap. Not at all. This restaurant deserves a lot of praise. We ordered some simple dishes (bruschetta, pasta pomodoro, etc) and just like you can tell a great chef from ordering scrambled eggs, you can tell in this restaurant that there’s a great team in the kitchen which orders quality ingredients (ham, mozzarella, tomatoes, melon etc).
They’ve done a great job and delivered one of our best food experiences on this trip.

Without doubt one of the most wonderful meals I have ever eaten. Took my wife and son here on the last night of our holiday and were treated to some of the finest traditional food Tuscany has to offer.

Huge thanks to the gentleman and lady who own and run the restaurant. They are both lovely, genuine, people who really seem to care about the food and wine that they serve.

If ever you find yourself in Volterra, you REALLY need to pay this place a visit.

We didn’t eat any food here, but the drinks and the service were spot on. I got to try grappa for the first time. And Andre’ server was EXCELLENT! Was a fun stop!

These folks really came through with great food, good wine, and excellent service for our group of 10 people, arriving for a late Saturday afternoon lunch without reservations on October 1st. We were very grateful for everything they did to accommodate us.
