We just came back from a three day trip to Modica and had the good fortune of dining at this hidden gem twice.
Every single part of the meals we had was delicious, freshly prepared, original, and yet anchored in Sicilian food tradition.
For example, the freshly made pasta (I tried both pasta with clams and pasta with pesto and ricotta) was incredible, but the highlight for me was the "Antipasti Mediterraneo", which featured (among other delicacies) marinated cod inside a cannolo crust (fun and delicious) and fish arancini.
The portions are generous, and the wine list features the best Sicilian wines, which made our dinners even more enjoyable.
The family that owns the restaurant are lovely, warm people, which adds to the charm of this great restaurant right at the heart of Modica.

We've eaten here several times during our stay in Modica. The food is good but the service is what sets this place apart. Everyone was so wonderfully nice and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Enjoyed a lovely dinner of delicious seafood dishes. The cavatelli with swordfish was a real standout, roasted prawns also well prepared and tasty. Very reasonable pricing and a memorable meal in a town full of excellent eateries. Recommended!

The personnel who knows how to make guests feel welcomed. If you are up to fantastic price/quality ratio, starting from apetizers all way down to the desserts, which are accompanied with a warm and friendly atmosphere of professionals, who doesnt lose control during rush hour, please visit Da Ignazio. I highly recommend this restaurant. I & my partnered had a very nice surprise: a very tasty & pleasant late lunch nearby the cathedral, when many other restaurants were close. The staff were very polite & helpful, the food we chose, though simple (the best grilled vegetables I've ever had and some fresh seafood based dishes) was extremely delicious. One of the best meals we had in Sicily during our 2 weeks' staying.

We stopped here by chance and we left very pleased after a nice dinner - pasta alla Norma, fresh sea bass with grilled veg, beer, water and coffees at a very reasonable price. Attentive staff and efficient service - couldn’t ask for anything better! Grazie della bella serata

Nel nostro consueto viaggio/ vacanza da "nord" a "sud" di tappe e ristoranti ne proviamo molti, e devo dire che finora questo è il ristorante dove ci siamo trovati meglio... , ambiente familiare , gentilezza, cibo superlativo con porzioni abbondanti (di questi tempi tutti hanno aumentato i prezzi e diminuito le porzioni).... Il sig. Ignazio ci ha immediatamente consigliato su portate e tipo di vino. Inoltre molto pazienti e cortesi con i bambini.... Che dire, straconsigliato! Se torneremo a Modica sarà di sicuro la nostra tappa!!!! Complimenti!

Trattoria tipica in un locale rinnovato e ampio dehor esterno. Servizio veloce, ampia scelta di piatti soprattutto di pesce e di cucina siciliana.
Ottimo l’antipasto con assaggi misti di pesce e i cavatelli con pesce spada, melanzane e menta.
