Wonderful family run restaurant with traditional Sicilian dishes. My wife , who is Sicilian, came because she wanted their tenerumi pasta, which was so good and I had their eggplant as a starter and then their pork ragu, so yummy.

On top of their food, their service was amazing! We had dinner on a Sunday evening, unaware that taxis won’t be available. After trying to get us a taxi unsuccessfully, the young lady said she would give a ride back to our hotel! She was wonderful and we were so thankful to avoid an hour walk late at night. Thank you so much!

Of all the restaurants I visited during my two-week long holiday in Sicily, this was my favourite. This is a simple, unpretentious, and inexpensive restaurant frequented by locals and tourists. I really appreciated the focus on traditional dishes made with "fava cottoia di Modica", a type of bean that is used by farmers as part of crop rotation (alternating with grazing areas used for grazing Modicana cows), and which used to be a stable of the local diet. The desserts are also worth trying (the gelo di limone I had was superb).

The only downside to this restaurant is that it can get busy, and hence a little chaotic and slow, at busy times such as weekends. Unfortunately this was the case on one of my visits on a busy Saturday at lunchtime. Thursday lunchtime, however, was a lot less busy and I had a better experience during this less busy day.

Thrown back in time by the place and the food.
I experienced the atmosphere and the flavours of my childhood.
Real food, local ingredients grown by the sun and the passion of the farmers.
I just enjoyed the authentic flavours of basic vegetables and meat, something lost over the last 20 years.
Not to mention the welcoming staff and the excellent service.

A traditional Sicilian osteria with homemade pasta totally different from any other pasta I had before. Their menu has a few traditional fava beans dishes, tripe, lentils all very simple and delicious. The building is an old noble palace with a lot of antiques on the interior which makes it even more authentic!

Very lovely place. Service was super attentive. Wish I could eat way more but I wasn't crazy hungry and my party had tummy issues ,the lentil soup was super delicious. Thank you

Loved this place - this is the kind of food we wanted to eat everyday. Popular with the locals, not expensive, simple and unpretentious yet very tasty and many vegetarian options. The eggplant lasagna was the standout. The Macca pasta (fava beans paste) and salad were hearty and tasty.

Excellent food (one of the best trippa, I have ever tasted), fair prices, friendly staff - it says it all that I've passed to the restaurant twice on my way from Syracuse. Grazie!

Unreal food. One of the best meals we had during our stay in Sicily and the prices were very good.

The food was delicious and typical of Modica. Simple but tasteful. Al fresco dining in the city centre and good value for money.

We ate Caponata, Ravioli with ricotta, Cream of shelled broad fava beans from Modica and Cassata siciliana. The food was commendable. The service is fast and friendly. We will stop by again.

Excellent traditional Sicilian food made with quality ingredients. We enjoyed every bite of the rabbit (delicately flavoured with mint and cooked with a mix of seasonal vegetables), the pork and sausage in a flavourful tomato sauce, the layered eggplant (a hit even with the vegetable-phobic child), and the cavatelli with ricotta and peas was pasta perfection.

Topped off with a lovely house white and tiramisu and chocolate bocconcini, this meal came to only 66€ for four diners. Highly recommended.

This was exactly what we were looking for: good local food with an easy going atmosphere and no silly swirls on the plates! The menu is in Sicilian dialect with a translation into Italian, English and I’m not sure what else. I was looking for a place to eat rabbit and it was excellent!
