Barolando

We had an absolutely delicious dinner here. Every dish was great, not only in taste, but also in its presentation. Much better than what you'd expect from the unassuming looking decor. Even the bread was great.

Favourites included the Artichoke starter, the mushroom pasta, and the tiramisu in puff pastry, which was extraordinary.

Had an amazing dinner at Barolando. The cuisine was elevated with beautifully plated dishes and an extensive wine list. Food and drink were reasonably priced. Every dish was excellent. Staff were friendly and hospitable. Would recommend booking before hand as it tends to fill up fast, especially on weekends.

Fantastic gem with incredible menu dishes and service. It was the only place open on a Monday and we could not have imagine a better place! Highly recommended!

Great experience at this place, I wouldn't be surprised if you will find this restaurant in a Michelin's guide. Our first choice didn't impressed us so we decided to change and come here to Barolando. What a fortunate decision!

Two for dinner on a Monday night. We were staying in Barolo and looking for a nice meal in town. We saw the earlier reviews and were a bit concerned by two recent reviews criticizing the service. We decided to take our chances, and we’re very pleasantly surprised that the service was excellent. The waitresses spoke English very well, very helpful with menu suggestions. Plates were served and cleared quickly. Overall excellent. And the food itself was quite good. The fried lamb ribs were great. The white truffle menu reasonable and generous. The wine selection as well was quite strong and reasonably priced. Would come back for sure.

A gem of a restaurant. The home made bread is to die for, all dishes tasty beyond words. Great service. This place will remain a memory for life.

Really good local Piemontese food , in a nice location in the centre of Barolo town .
I would totally recommend Vitello Tonnato , Carne Cruda , Agnolotti del Plin , Risoto con vino rosso e gorgonzola . Very special desserts , combining traditional with modern . I would recommend the special Tiramisu .
You can choose among a big selection of wines , we took local Barolo wine and jt was really good .
The prices are high , but totally ok with the quantity and quality of food .
You probably need make a reservation a least 2-3 days before .

Lovely place. Lovely people. We were late, but they stayed open to serve us. Everything was good. The homemade bread and focaccia was absolutely delicious.

Great lunch with local tasty products, friendly staff and large selection of wines. Hope to stop by again soon, highly recommended!

Epic lunch . Best Risotto of my life with Barolo Wine and creamy Langa Blue Cheese!

The vision of Barolo wine risotto with blue cheese I had at Barolando will keep me awake at night for years to come 😁 Wonderful home cooking and exceptional quality of dishes. And very attentive sweet service !

Good food and really nice staff. They were super fast in serving and really friendly. The truffle pasta were a little bit pricey but very delicious. We will come back again.

A really nice lunch in the heart of the Barolo town.
We got a nice ricotta amuse bouche. Then a mushroom soup with a local sausage (especially the mushrooms were delicious!). A glass of local sparking wine (my current favourite over the famed prosecco!). And finally local egg pasta (tajarin) with butter sauce and white truffle shavings and lamb chops with spinach and Barolo sauce. All delicious!

Had a lovely meal here in the heart of Barolo town, welcoming,friendly and very knowledgeable staff. Food was excellent, service top, and a wine list which never ended. I really dont understand the review criticising the wine list it was a book of 15 pages. Selection by glass was great too. One of my favorites to visit in the area and fairly priced. Stupendous restaurant, lucky find for us on a busy Sunday night! Excellent service, excellent wine (by the glass and full menu), excellent food - another high recommend for the risotto with barolo and blue cheese…mmm. The rabbit wrapped in filo dough was another winner. Will hope to be back!
