Great place to park for free if you are willing to walk uphill! There are blue lined pay spots at the start of the lot and parking beyond them is free. picture of lot is as seen from montalcino fortress

Część parkingu podlega płatności, natomiast druga, bardziej naturalna jest wolna od opłaty. Później trochę schodów i jesteś w centrum miasteczka. W poniedziałkowe popołudnie było dużo wolnych miejsc. Jest tutaj również toaleta. Nie sprawdzałam czystości.

Alla rotatoria principale di fronte all' ingresso di Montalcino (quella per intenderci con più uscite!) alla seconda si scende verso il parcheggio, che all' inizio è a pagamento ma lo sterro è gratuito e ampio. Poi c'è la scalinata per salire su, e sei subito in centro, alle spalle della fortezza. Superconsigliato.

Nice, safe and big parking place! Walking distance to the town center. Besides it’s doggie friendly. Our dog enjoyed the free drinking water

There are currently two options here. Upon entry you’ll find blue marked parking that is paid and sadly with rather narrow spots. However, if you follow the parking road down a bit there are free spots on left and right side. From the parking there are stairs leading directly to the streetlevel below fortress.

Parcheggio gratuito si, ma se non sei allenato a fare salite per raggiungere il centro, e discese ripide per tornare all'auto, non so se ne vale la pena. Comunque comodo perchè vicino al centro. Peccato che non sia illuminato, almeno per la parte non asfaltata, poco sicuro per essere un po isolato e buio la sera.
