Mini market in Nocelle

This is a nice market in Nocelle, the lovely hillside town above Positano. The market is well stocked and very reasonably priced. We especially enjoyed the strawberries, tomatoes, and excellent (and I do mean excellent) wine we purchased here, but really everything we purchased was very good. Be sure to bring Euros because only cash is accepted.

Separately, I had the pleasure of watching the proprietress make a deli sandwich for someone, on a beautiful crusty loaf of bread, and it truly was like watching art being created. It would be worth stopping here for lunch before setting out on the Path of the Gods trek.

Signora Maria is adorable. If staying in Nocelle, see this lovely lady for your produce. Local tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, salami, prosciutto, mortadella etc etc for only 20€. This would have easily cost us $70 au.

Maria, the store owner was very kind and welcoming. We stayed in Nocelle for multiple days and often cooked at our condo. We shopped at the mini market multiple times and they had everything we needed, including fresh basil, tomatoes, delicious mozzarella and fresh sliced prosciutto. They also had wines that we purchased. Prices were fair and the service was excellent. Was a very good experience at this little market!!! 10+ stars and thank you very much Maria!!!!!!

Very nice place with good quality products and friendly service. The owner is preparing perfect hiking sandwiches for a very reasonable price (3€ for a ham-cheese sandwich for 2 people!). Icecream, cold drinks - everything available. Nice view on the small terrace.

Good, “salt of the earth,” people running this little store. They gave us a little bit of laundry detergent from their home since they didn’t have any in stock. And free bread. Great place to grab some beer or snacks when you’re in the area. I seriously can’t believe that people would leave nasty reviews. Maybe they were expecting a Wal-Mart in this quaint little village? Anyway, worth a stop.

If you are on the path of the gods, when you get to Nocella, bypass the restaurants and head here. Local cheeses and crusty breads make for good Paninis. Add a $10 bottle of wine and some sparkling waters and for 20 euros you can sit on the porch overlooking the ocean for a lot less than the other places.

All excellent food for making yourself a perfect authentic Italian breakfast or lunch.
Fresh bread, around 10 kinds of meats (sliced in shop), probably around 7 kinds of cheeses, fresh local tomatos onions and other locally grown vegetables and fruits. Ample sellection of excellent local vines and italian pasta! + other items you might need at home. And... all of this is on the top of the mountain!

We went on the Path of Gods hike and at the beginning there was this market , the lady was making fresh Mozzarella sandwiches which we had in the middle of the hike and they were delicious !

Convenient little market with all the essentials. Fresh produce, bread, wine, bus tickets. You name it. Sweet little lady runs the shop.

Très bon sandwich ici ! Tomates et jambons et moza sont incroyablement bons. En takeaway ou sur place c’est un très bon stop à nocelle !

Negozietto piccolo ma super efficiente. La signora gentilissima ci ha preparato dei panini enormi. Il pane era buonissimo! Oltre al salame ci ha messo anche la mozzarella fior di latte e i pomodori locali a fette: una delizia ad un prezzo più che onesto!!! Mi ha anche lasciata usare il suo bagno privato. Consigliatissimo

Bisogna assolutamente farsi fare i panini dalla proprietaria prima di iniziare il cammino lungo e faticoso. Persona gentilissima e onestissimi, panini super con ingredienti freschi e genuini. La passione e la costanza nel lavoro da sempre ottimi risultati. Sempre aperti, anche fuori stagione ,Da ammirare!

Un luogo fermo nel tempo. La signora che lo gestisce è stata gentilissima nel servirci. Possibilità di fare panini e qualsiasi altro cibo possa servire per affrontare il sentiero degli dei. Vivamente consigliato.
