Hostelito Cozumel

Absolutely one of the best Hostels on the island! Clean rooms, great vibe and atmosphere, restaurant has a great variety of very yummy food! Service is fantastic! The ambiance is zen, even with it being in the heart of downtown, it's still an oasis!

This was my second time staying at Hostelito and, aside from a couple minor issues, I enjoyed it as much as the first. The vibe is absolutely unreal and the staff are all incredibly polite and always willing to help. The new rooftop pool is drop dead gorgeous (there was one day I spent about 4 hours up there) and as always, the Coral Restaurant on the second floor is delicious and has the best smoothies ever (thank you Oscar!).

On the constructive side, neither me nor my friends had hot water or hand soap in our rooms, although this didn't bother me because A) it's typically hot as hell in Cozumel and cool showers are preferred, and B) I brought soap with me. They also got rid of the water cooler, although a 40L jug of water can be had for less than 100 peso at a nearby Oxxo. These aren't big issues for me personally, but it's something to bear in mind when you're looking at a hostel vs hotel experience, as Hostelito falls sort of between the two.

Despite these minor issues, I had an incredible time at Hostelito and would happily stay there again. The owner Deyner also deserves a shout out for being so generous and thoughtful - he went out of his way to offer me a discount after I had already paid for the room, which he was under no obligation to do. That kind of courteousness isn't often seen nowadays and I'm extremely grateful for it.

Amazing days at Hostelito.The place is nice and clean. Location couldn't be better. Everything is well distributed and they have a super cool vegan restaurant inside the hostel facilities. I hired the diving service from the hostel and they have an outstanding service, good boats, and the diving instructor Francisco knows the best diving areas+is a great guide, and the photos from the dive were just next level!

Not far from the pier and places to eat. The private rooms could be a bit cleaner but the overall place is a nice experience. The pool is in the center of the hotel and has a swing in it and a few spots where you can relax in a net. One of them is directly overhead the pool

I stayed at Hostelito for nearly a month because it was such a warm, friendly, clean, and beautiful retreat on the island. I loved the atmosphere with all the art and plants - each day I discovered a new area to relax or enjoy. Hostelito was very clean and the staff was welcoming. The sunsets from the roof were magical. I also had the opportunity to dive with them and Francisco was a great instructor who was organized, informative, and took amazing pictures! Highly recommend staying here, it’s centrally located and near everything but it’s own hidden oasis. I’ll be back soon!!

You feel like family when you are here. The staff is amazing and they have the best dive instructor on the island, Francisco. We came for a day, ended up staying a week. Great prices, the ambiance is amazing, and it is everything a hostel should be. Loved all the space to hang out and relax. Can't wait to come back.

The rooms are nice and functional, not the ritz, but not intended to be. But its a cool boutique hotel with hammocks over thr pool, lots of trees, and great location.

For this price, it's awesome. Staff is the best, super friendly and very very helpful. Very good location. Perfect public area. Free drinking water, very hot shower, good roommate.

Unbeliveably friendly staff, cleanest hostel Ive seen ever, beautiful kitchen and sleeping area. I originally booked one night, I checked other hostels in town, booked 7 more nights here. Next time Im in Mexico, I'll be here!

Conveniently located Hostel in the center of town, plesent staff ! Large rooftop patio with hammocks to relax and barbeque for small parties and get-togethers.
