Cp Rental

We went on a scooter ride but didn't get to go around the whole island because it was already getting dark outside and we didn't want to miss our ferry back to Playa del Carmen. Cozumel is very beautiful! I recommend for you to go during the day. Experience with the scooter rental was great.

I had Jose help me out from when I arrived from the ferry to getting a scooter and ready to ride. I had a smooth experience!!

Jose helped us with questions regarding what type of insurance comes with the rental, where to fill up on gas, where we should drive and so on.

We paid Jose right when we got the scooter, had our day trip, returned and the rental had a final check up and said we were good to go!

Victor took great care of us and had everything ready very quickly. While our jeep wasn’t the latest model, it had new tires, all the safety equipment was in proper working order and it got us around the island comfortably. Will definitely rent from them again.

We shopped around with other rental places when we got there in person and through phone messaging.

We went with CP Rental. You can go direct with them for even a better deal. But we got assistants and info from Victor at ferry port and he was very transparent with us. He walked us to the office where we only payed for the vehicle of our choice for the day and our budget and gave down a deposit in cash.

The deposit was way less than what other agencies wanted and others also wanted/needed a credit/debit card. We did not need to put or give any credit/debit card info.

The process just took the necessary time it should. The vehicle already came with standard insurance but if you want extra coverage Then you can add it if that’s what you want.

The vehicles they offer are for Conzumel/beach use. So they are perfect to move around the island at your will. Some are in better shape than others but it’s because of the weather/environment use and conditions.

They are NOT scammers. They are a car rental business. We did not have any negative experience with them. Victor also recommended we have breakfast at the restaurant right in front of business.

Next time I’m just going straight to their office to rent another car. Shop around like we did, but I recommend them. Thanks to Victor and the staff!

Can't confirm the negative reviews. Luis was a friendly guy who offered tips and recommendations to travel to. The scooter was in good shape and there's nothing wrong with it. Before you start driving you can check everything. 800$ for the whole day is a lot but it was propagated as being half of the original price. Got talked into it in playa del Carmen. I'd suggest comparing rentals before going to Cozumel.

I've rented from CP for about 20 yrs,
I've never experienced what I'm reading in these reviews. Last time was Dec 2022, Best and easiest experience. Cars are in decent condition. For Mexico their rates are CHEAP !!!!!!.
I'll be back in Feb 2023.

I saw the famous Steve Vandervalk renting a Dune Buggy there, but he would not sign autographs. They have a wide variety of scooters, vehicles. Ask for Victor.

Rented 2 scooter, everything went well. They even worked with me, since I didn't have a credit card or the $2000 peso deposit. Helmet was included.

The scooter we rented was great and they were very quick and professional. Luis was very helpful.

In Cozumel walk up about 3 blocks from the ferry you can rent a car for $50usd

Bom, em relação ao aluguel de moto, a experiência foi positiva, a moto tinha seus “defeitos” na lataria, devido ao mau uso de outras pessoas que já alugaram, porém não apresentou nenhum defeito mecânico ou elétrico. O atendimento foi rápido e simples, demos o calção em dinheiro, preferimos dessa forma por motivos de pessoas terem comentado que escolheram essa opção por cartão de credito e o valor não ter sido extornado. Ao final do nosso aluguel da moto, o dinheiro foi devolvido sem problema algum.
A nossa experiência com moto foi boa, e cumpriu com a expectativa.
