Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge

There are animals walking around the hotel grounds and it’s amazing. comfortable rooms. delicious and varied food. in the evenings there is a concert and dancing. There is a pool on site, but we didn’t swim because we were there in winter

Highly recommend. I stayed here for two nights on my honeymoon. Apart from the weather which is unavoidable. The room was beautiful and clean. Was even left a fruit basket and a decorated room when we walked in, lovely touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was beautiful and again, kitchen staff did a song and dance for me and my husband and presented us with a cake to celebrate our honeymoon. On my second and last day, I was taken ill. There is an onsite dr who saw me straight away and was excellent. All the staff were very caring and kind, and are truly an asset to Serena Lodge. Thank you for looking after us and this will stay as a memory for our lifetimes.

This was our favourite of the Serena lodges we stayed in on our Safari honeymoon. The view from our room was incredible and we could hear the distant animals whilst in our room at night. There was entertainment in the evening, although the bar is quite small so in order to get a table you must get there early, the restaurant is very big with a huge buffet offering. We left early one morning for a balloon ride whilst it was still dark and I was amazed to see wild animals strolling around amongst the lodges. As we were on honeymoon, we had a fruit bowl left in our room which was a nice touch. The pool area was nice with a great view also however there is limited time for using the pool as you will most likely be out all day on the Safari drives.

Great place with a magical view into serengeti. Food good, facilities well maintained, people friendly. Highly recommended for 2 or more nights.

What an intimate experience with the wild animals of the Serengeti. I was thrilled to stay here. It was good service, great safaris, and excellent service. Everything in the Bush. This would be my choice location to visit every time.

Nestled close to the Serengeti Adventure routes, the Serengeti Lodge offers a relaxing and comfortable retreat. The Staff are friendly and welcoming. Dietary needs are catered to. Rooms are comfortable. We highly recommend this Lodge.

Beautiful location. On the first night the food was not that good, since we eat vegetarian or vegan when possible. The second day however it was really good!

Fortunately, the great staff and location made it a great stay.

It would be good if there were more vegetarian and vegan options, but still 5 stars because of the great staff!

It was a lovely resort with an amazing view from our rooms of the Serengeti plains. The rooms were comfortable with a nice balcony and good clean bathrooms.

They were very strict about safety rules where they encouraged us to walk with security people.

We greatly enjoyed the live music and dance program they had around 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., before dinner time.

The buffet food they served for dinner, breakfast and lunch was excellent, with an amazing variety of healthy choices for the main meal and for dessert. As vegetarians and with a vegan in our group, we had no problems finding good food to eat here.

Very nice, comfortable place in the central Serengeti area. Staff was delightful and friendly. Amazingly, the location is well hidden and not a blemish in the countryside. It helped, I believe, hiding the rooms due to the thatched roofs, which seemed to match the traditional tribal huts. Food was excellent with plenty of cooks preparing your various meals in front of you in mere minutes.

Wonderful experience at Serengeti Serena Lodge! Spacious rooms and washrooms. There’s also a balcony which overlooks Serengeti and we saw an antelope from our balcony! The food is really delicious, we couldn’t get enough of it! There is a common area near the pool which has an amazing view! The bar area is great for relaxing. It has a TV and free tea and coffee round the clock. It is also located conveniently. We saw a lion and a lioness less than 15 minutes away from the lodge! We spotted giraffes every day as soon as we left the lodge. The staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed here for three nights and it was a bit expensive. But it’s totally worth it!
You need a chaperone to leave your room after sunset and so you need to call the reception to ask for them. But they send one right away.
There is Wifi in the room and the common area.

Service was great, the room has a beautiful view of the Serengeti. We prefer to dine a la carte instead of the buffet style for dinner. However the staff was great, the chef checked in on us if the food was good and the pool was also a big plus, so a 5-star review from us!

We really enjoyed the hotel and all of its amenities. The staff were responsive, kind, courteous and friendly. Everyone was very warm and welcoming upon arrival. We were inadvertently assigned to the incorrect room, and it was immediately and conscientiously rectified. The view from our room's balcony was breathtaking! Each room in a hut designed to look like the ones that the Maasai people build. Everything was lavishly appointed and sparkling clean. The buffet in the restaurant was full of good food, with choices for every diet imaginable. The dining staff were also very attentive and knowledgeable about the food. The whole staff comes out to sing and dance if it is someone's birthday. They seemed to genuinely enjoy it! We did not use the hotel's guides for our game drives, but as you can imagine, the Serengeti was an amazing place to see animals (including birds and snakes!), plants, and sunsets/sunrises. One of the hotel's security guards took pity on me aimlessly wandering the grounds and took it upon myself to show me around. It was a lovely walk and I learned a lot! I would happily stay here again for a longer period and take time to enjoy the facility and the activities a bit more!

Loved the Serena in the Serengeti. Checkin was a breeze and the rooms are perfect for the national park. The buffet dinner and breakfast were excellent with lots of food choices. Of course, the location can't be beat. Nice job Serena Serengeti!

Serengeti Serena is an absolute pleasure to stay at! The staff went above and beyond to welcome us and always had a smile. The meals were amazing and the lodging was lovely. The views from the pool area are breathtaking. We had a wonderful stay here! We had a flat tire less than two miles from the lodge and they helped us out. Truly a wonderful place to stay while on safari!

WiFi is low speed, but still we were amazed and grateful to have it so deep in the bush! Lovely pool, good food, comfy beds. Nicely appointed rooms.

Serengeti Serena is definitely the place you want to visit when on a magical safari! The villa style rooms is a signature of Serena and guests were very well taken care of.

I’d also advice that if you are on a budget, then reach out to Innocent from Signature Safaris in Arusha. He took good care of us and accommodated various needs!

The rooms are relay nice, the property doesn’t have a fence around it so you could see animals passing through. The food was really good and service was amazing. The pool has a great view.
