This is without a doubt the best company to do an expedition with! 10 out of 5! We had the most amazing experience doing the 6 Day Rongai Route up Kilimanjaro. Our crew were exceptional! We were well taken care of, medical checks everyday, food was unreal and were fed so very well! Our guides did a great job getting us safely to the peak! The hotel accommodation before and after was brilliant and all the staff was amazing!! I highly recommend Altezza for your Kilimanjaro experience!

5 days safari with Altezza was such right decision. We had wonderful time and it was one of the most enjoyable experiences we ever had. Everything was well organised from the day we arrived to Kilimanjaro airport until our departure. Hotels that have been selected were stunning, service was excellent. Safari car was well maintained and there was everything inside for our comfort. Our guide Robert, was so helpful and knowledgeable and most importantly very good and experienced driver. We felt absolutely safe during our journey. We will definitely come back for hiking to Kilimanjaro.

Altezza hits it out of the park on the big wins: safety, logistics, and expertise. Their guides conducted twice daily health checks, measuring blood oxygen to ensure we were acclimating appropriately and they had medication ready to cover any malady. On summit day they carried oxygen as a safety measure that I found necessary after experiencing altitude sickness and the team even provided to another suffering climber whose guides were not carrying oxygen. Not all guide services have these safety measures!

The logistics flow was impressive from the get-go with airport and hotel shuttles. The camp logistics on-mountain was even more so. We’d depart camp after breakfast, they’d have tea and snacks set up along the trail, we’d arrive at lunch to find the mess tent already set up with lunch ready, just to find it and our sleeping tents set up again at the end of the hike with tea and popcorn waiting and dinner shortly to follow. The consideration that the porter team put into our comfort was overwhelming.

The expertise on the team was unquestionable. Altezza clearly takes hiring very seriously and recruits knowledgeable guides. Professionals across the board who we greatly trusted.

With the big wins checked off in style, Altezza goes above and beyond with personal touches that make the trip truly memorable. I think most memorable for us was the tradition and ceremony that the team brought to the experience - celebratory group singing and dancing especially, even cakes and champagne! Then small things like hot water bottles to keep sleeping bags warm really made us feel well cared for.

A few personal call-outs to wrap up:

Joshua was our lead guide and the utmost professional. It was readily apparently how deftly he led a large team (22 porters to our 5 hikers). On summit day, I struggled a lot with the altitude, but Joshua went above and beyond to ensure that I was able to safely make it to the summit, conducting medical checks en route and fueling us all up through to the top. Thanks coach!

Agrey was one of our other guides and was steady as a rock. He kept a very close watch over me as a dealt with altitude on summit day and was wonderful in managing the group and pace on every day leading up to summit. Thank you Agrey!

Hamsa, our third guide, was perhaps our most energetic. He spent an entire day with one of our hikers’ cameras scampering between rocks to get the best possible pictures of our experience (we even spotted him on the opposite side of the valley getting a long-range shot before he popped up with us not a moment later!). On summit day, he personally escorted me back down the mountain after my bout of altitude sickness. Thank you Hamsa!

Musa was one of our summit porters and carried everything from my bag to hot tea to oxygen for us. He then carried my bag all the way down the mountain and further. He even gave me his own rain pants to keep me dry. He also pulled out a Santa outfit from nowhere for fun on the summit. Thank you, Musa - you are incredibly considerate and generous!

Frankie served us all of our food and was as charming a personality as you could imagine. He pushed food on us better than any grandmother I’ve met to keep us well-fueled. A great dancer and performer during the traditions, signing, and dancing that were so memorable too! Thank you Frankie!

We went on safari with Altezza Travel and had the most incredible trip with them! Our guide, Robert, was wonderful! So patient and knowledgable during our 8 days. We saw all the big 5 and so much more! And our accommodation was so incredible. We would not hesitate to return.

We had the most amazing experience on our first safari in Africa.
Our trip went smoothly from the beginning, contacting Altezza to drop off at the airport.
Alina was there every step of the way, quickly responded to any questions we had.
Our guide and driver Robert was very knowledgeable and carrying and made our experience absolute best.

When we first thought about a trip to Tanzania it seemed quite complex and confusing, google search was flooded with tons of info and hundred of agencies.
Then in some travel blog I saw Alteza company mentioned and decided to give a shot.
From the first message the manager was very knowledgeable, reacted fast and built a feeling of trust.
So, first of all I would like to tell that we are very grateful to Vlada, who was in communication with us during the preparation phase and further.
All the events were just in time. The car for safari was clean, equipped with wifi and binoculars, snacks and water. All the accommodations were comfortable and cozy.
Separately a super huge thank to our Safari guide David, professional, easy going, attentive to the road and always happy to show animals and tell the interesting facts about wild nature. We can’t be more grateful.

Our hike up Kilimanjaro and our safari trek was a once in a lifetime experience. But I wanted to add a second review for this amazing company and their hard working staff. Our group's trip to Tanzania was in the summer of 2023. I noticed they had recently been giving out medals to trekkers. Daria was accomodating and coordinated the delivery of these beautiful medals to commemorate our time climbing up the world's tallest free standing mountain. I want to give a special thank you to Daria for everything she's done for our group!

Altezza is absolutely the best. Best tour operator, best guides and porters. Nice hotel with great staff and amenities. Airline lost my luggage and Altezza provided me with all new rental gear free of charge and every other item I needed. They provided me a driver to take me to Arusha city to shop for tanzanites, amongst many other things. Amazing and easy to work with, will definitely work with again!

We just completed a week long safari in Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti. Had the most amazing time. Liza did a fabulous job setting up an itinerary that allowed us to see everything we wanted to. Our guide/driver (Abdul) was very informative and had a recommended plan (game drives) for every day that allowed us to experience the safaris without getting overly tired or waking up at 6 am every day. The Altezza staff was in touch with us via WhatsApp throughout the safari and was very quick to respond, at 9 pm, when we had to suddenly change plans for the last night due to my son's illness. I would heartily recommend using Altezza for your Tanzania safari - you will not be disappointed!!!

We hiked Mount Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route with Altezza Travel. Having shopped around with different tour companies, we could see that Altezza were one of the pricier companies. However, we also saw that their reviews were incredible and approach to safety and health checks highly regarded. All I can say is that the reviews were not wrong!

From start to finish, absolutely everything about the company was exemplary. 14 hikers were catered for by 53 staff, which included numerous porters, chefs, waiters and guides. We had twice daily health checks and the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was exceptional. Tents were incredibly comfortable and every single staff member could not have done more for us throughout the trip, between checking that we had enough food, helping with packing and unpacking, checking in on us through the walk/hike, carrying people's bags when needed, absolutely incredible care for those that fell sick through the trip...the list goes on.

Special thanks to our guides - Joseph, Benson, Emmanuel, Julius and Gaudence, and finally, the leader of the pack, the great Baraka! The level of professionalism from these guys throughout was absolutely amazing. Thank you all again for everything you did for us through the trip. Memories that will last a lifetime for us.

If it wasn't for Altezza Travel I would not have summited Mount Kilimanjaro! I spent about two weeks in Tanzania and did a private safari and Kilimanjaro hike with Altezza. They helped plan everything and ensured that the trip went smoothly. The safari was incredible and my friend and I got to see all of the Big Five! Hiking up Kilimanjaro with Altezza was hassle-free; the guides and porters were exceptional, and ensured that we were properly acclimatized. Every day we were fed hot meals, had medical check-ups, and had time to rest. Would love to hike it again next year!

We just came back from Tanzania. Our whole trip was arranged by Altezza travel.I had an amazing experience because of them. We took a bicycle tour around Moshi the first day, before our climb. It was an interesting first day experience. We biked along the city and Rau forest resort.
The second day we started our Mt. Kilimanjaro climb. We took 8 days Lemosho route. Our group leader, guides, cook, waiter, camp supervisor, all the porters and other crew members were very Profesional, efficient and I couldn't ask for more. They made our experience special.
After that we went on 4 days of safari, again, everything was well planed and organized. I definitely recommend Altezza travel to anyone who wants a smooth and unforgettable Tanzania experience.

Incredible trip to summit Kilimanjaro

Would 100% recommend Altezza! Our team leader was Peter who was exceptional in organising the team to assist our group of 8 on the expedition. The other guides we had helping us were amazing, and were Godson, Osward and Joesph. The overall team of porters and chefs were incredible, always with a smile on their face.

The food was excellent and they catered to our dietary requirements. The team adjusted the pace for our group to make sure we were all comfortable. They answered any questions we had about the mountain. We learnt so much from them in terms of not only the mountain itself but also life philosophy too.

Summit day was a big challenge for us, however the team motivated us and we all managed to summit. In particular Peter, Godson and Osward struck the right balance in terms of pushing us to our limits and enabling us to succeed.

We were also told by many members of the team that Altezza treat their staff very fairly and they were all happy to work for them.

Certainly the best agency to take you to this great adventure on the top of Kilimandjaro ! The guides and staff and really professional, answering all the questions and having constantly the best small attention so that you just have to focus on : the summit 🏔

We had a fantastic time hiking to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro with Altezza! Couldn't have done it without such amazing guides!! We had a fabulous crew, tasty dinners and the most amazing experience! There are many great company's but Altezza has the greatest guides... I was literally 3 hours from summit after hiking for 5 days and I got too cold and wanted to give up but our guide Shabani actually took off his coat and made me wear it because he had faith that I could make it! And I did!! I couldn't have done it without such a great guide! Both he and Gaudance made our trek unforgettable with their knowledge and experience!! More than anything, trust your guide!!!

Just finished a climb to Kilimanjaro through Machame route with them. Stanley and his team took perfect care of us - even through some rainy days. There was always hot tea on the way and a bed-bottle at night. Food was amazing - fresh fruit and veggies every day. And all of us made it to the summit - first group and right in time for sunrise. Could not have been better. Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience!
