Kilimanjaro International Airport

Basic airport. Great location to begin or end an adventure in East Africa. Handles both domestic and international. Pretty smooth process overall, lots of waiting area. One thing worth noting is there is a double security screening process - one to get to the checkin counters and the other to get inside the waiting area. Free luggage carr’s is always nice !

The airport is tiny, and is generally organized. The staff are friendly. Immigration process could be faster. The absence of jet bridges guarantees great views of the aircraft on the apron.

Great airport, some good food and last minute souvenir shopping.

My first visit and found it compact and cozy while evoking memories of small airports back in the day. It contains most facilities of a big, modern airport, but in miniature form. The check-in, security and immigration formalities barely took any time. But what was most noticeable was the friendly and helpful staff that went the extra mile to ensure passengers were comfortable. It was an amazing experience. No aerobridges meant you had to walk to the aircraft, just like in the old days. The nearby mountains like Mt Meru added to the wonderful ambience.

The airport is small and right to the point. You will board/deplane right on the tarmac, which is something I always enjoy. The airport offers pretty good food accommodations, no complaints there.

Tanzanias are very friendly people and take life on the "pole pole" side, meaning they take it nice and slow, so I recommend always showing up pretty early just to get everything sorted out. 👍🏼

Small local airport with only a handful of flights a day.
On arrival it was very clear what to do and it took us about an hour to get out of the plane, get visas, go through customs, pick up our luggage and leave the building. Faster than JFK or LAX.
Departures have a few grossly overpriced shops and cafes. The restrooms are clean. WiFi is not perfect, but good enough to flick through the news (in fact I am using it now).

Great way to arrive in Tanzania. Fast and efficient.

Clean and good place but the ground handling staff not really helpfull.
And maybe its normal in Kilimanjaro apo, flight at 19.35 and check in counter open at 18.15.

Arriving was easy and simple. The quickest airport for processing we have come across.

Nice little airport. Good to transfer to Zanzibar. There is some shop with necessary. Restroom are clean too.

SMALL AIRPORT AND FAST IMMIGRATION PROCESS

Small but good airport. Stable wifi, there is comfortable seating after checking in and going through security check. It is part of a restaurant but u can easily purchase water/tea/ something to eat and get yourself a nice spot with charging! There are souvenirs shops. I did not check the price. Everything is after baggage check and check in. I would fly this airport again just because of how comfortable everything is.

Small but modern airport. Much better than expected. On departure the toilets are after immigration check but they will allow you to go past, just let them you know you are looking for the toilets. On arrival, queues can be long. A tip, if you're from a visa free country use lanes 5 & 6

A very clean airport, safe, customer care is on point. They even have shuttles for passengers from Arusha and Moshi

I came to Tanzania for hiking kilomamjaro! The airport was very clean.
