I really enjoyed my time at Tortilis and I would absolutely go back. The staff greeted us with a warm welcome with a song and juice. The grounds are beautiful. The tents are cozy and comfortable. It did get cold at night but we had a nice surprise of a hot water bag under our blankets! The food was excellent (even for a vegetarian). My favorite part was the entertainment at dinner. The staff put on a nice performance with high energy and a great cultural experience. My only compliant was the toilets. It would take an average of 3 flushes to flush #2. It was a bit of a nuisance but it is camping though! Also this camp had the BEST wifi out of all of our stays. It was reliable and worked all over the camp. Overall, lovely experience.

Beautiful setting — tranquil, peaceful, and very comfortable! The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the food was great! Loved the singing and dancing in Swahili after dinner. Tenting it off the grid has never been better!

Tortilis camp is just as amazing as it’s staff. The place is so beautiful that we wanted to stay couples of extra nights. Our tend was very big a clean with all comforts, and as during the night was a bit cold, they even put on our beds a warm water pillow, we slept very well! A big big thanks to the boss of the camp for his warm welcome, to the Chef for his very good food (especially the breakfast was very varied), and to Lukanda for bringing us back and forth from our tend <3
Highly recommend!

This was a surprisingly interesting tent glamping next to Massi community. Hence, had to lock my belongings in a box (provided) when not in my tent. There was a tent for dining. Food was pretty good but not great. Wine selection was okay, remember this place is 50 miles from any significant town. It's Tanzania. Don't think this is some upscale hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at the camp! The staff was incredibly welcoming and the food was tasty.

The tents are spacious and luxurious, but one still gets the feeling of being in nature, hearing the hyraxes singing in the distance.

One thing to note is that the camp is a good 40-minute drive from the crater itself.

The room is very spacious and also the food that is served is delicious! Besides, there is a nice firepit to meet your fellow travellers.

The camp is absolutely amazing. Such large rooms. Ambience and surrounding.
Good was great. Lots of wild life around. We could hear hyenas cooing at night. The crater is a short drive so that's the I ing on the cake.

This has been simply amazing. Imagine you are looking for a place in the middle of the jungle, with animals nearby, while enjoying nice dinners, drinks and afterwards a warm shower before heading to bed to have a peaceful sleep in a safe and super comfy tent with a king size bed in it. The staff has been extraordinary friendly and performed a local folklore dance, which we happily joined, as we all were in such a good mood because of this beautiful place. Thank you so much for hosting us and for the kind hospitality

This was hands down my favorite of all the Tortilis camps (we stayed at all 4 on our safari including this one - Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Tarangire). The setting is beautiful - it felt like an enchanted rain forest. Amazing hospitality and friendly staff. The food was delicious and we loved the after dinner "bush TV" (fire pit). Do keep in mind it gets pretty cold at that altitude - especially at night. I was SO excited when we returned to the tent after dinner and found a hot water bottle in the bed. The only bummer was that we only stayed one night. I highly recommend this spot if you are touring Ngorogoro!

Possibly the most wonderful campsite in the world. Amazingly nestled in the forest, surrounded by spectacular trees, great food, luxurious tents and top class service. Amazing place and well worth the visit.

Definitely our favourite lodge of our safari! The environment amongst the trees was amazing, and all of the staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly - they even did a welcome dance for us at dinner! The food was excellent - we asked the chef to write us the recipe for his green banana soup, which we will take home :) note that it can get very cold at night - but coming from the UK it was actually a nice change from the harsh heat of the serengeti and manyara, and they out hot water bottles in your bed, which is such a lovely touch - my wife was very appreciative of this. I would absolutely recommend people stay here during their safari, even if just for a night!

My favorite accommodation during my stay in Tanzania. It was located in the middle of forest(I heard they move location time to time since it’s a mobile camp), and the view was spectacular. Each tent has a beautiful interior and the staffs were very friendly. They have common area with board games and books.

Set in the beautiful rainforest of the ngorongoro you find a well maintained tented camp. If you like nature, go there. Keep in mind to bring warm clothes. Because of the cover of the vegetation and its position on approx 2500m temperature is never high.

Amazing camp in wilderness. Beautiful nature around. All you need is in your tent - e.g. toilets, showers with hot water , safebox etc. Very friendly staff. Breakfast ok. We stayed there with 2 children (9 and 11 yo) and liked it very much . Nights are cold, but you get some warming equipment into your bed.

Super! Excellent service and delicious food. The tent can be cold during the night but thanks to warming 'Bush babies' and warm blankets I slept like a baby.

Situated in the middle of Maasai village. Lovely place!

The most beautiful place ever! It's like the garden of eden (without the snake). The staff it's super friendly, the tents immaculate, food splendid, post-safari fireplace to die for. If we could, we'd stay here forever.
