When the leaves are changing colors, this is a beautiful location.

Mostly cut down trails. Half shaded. One of the bridges worries me but otherwise it's a pleasant area. Lots of ticks this year.

State park preserving the historic Battlefield. The park has a paper guide to follow and short groomed trails for getting to the different areas of the battle.

Nice and quiet, not overran by tourist. Get a good feeling of the area. Volunteers are great.

Such a neat place with local history to visit. My husband and I walked the property and several trails which are marked but not with how long the trail is, that would be useful in the next round of their brochures. Had a beautiful time exploring this area so close to our home. We will be back.

Wonderfully kept and restored historical area. The self-guided walking tour is small but informative and impressively well-maintained, and the walking trails are beautiful. This is a great way for Civil War history enthusiasts or lovers of hiking/walking trails to spend an afternoon!

Nice place with many trails. And maple Grove which is just stunning this time of the year. The only complaint is lack of user-friendly trail markings.

Such a cool place. Historically significant. They also have a beautiful walking trail, complete with signs telling you the names of the plants and trees.

Lots of local history. Santa Fe trail history and bleeding Kansas history. Geocaching is fun here. Wish it was better mowed and kept up.

Place looks cool from the parking lot. Was a lil scared to get out. Didn't want to go where I wasn't supposed to.

What a fantastic step back in time, upon arriving you can still get a sense of the battle that took place here, the echoes of gunfire, the sound of men yelling...but there was also a calm and peacefulness about it.
