The Painted Lady Bed & Breakfast

This beautiful Victorian home is just the perfect blend of coziness and convenience. I loved my room and the bed was wonderful. A nearby shared room had a television and mini fridge for use. The breakfast was delicious and included a Dutch baby- something I had never seen except on the Food Network! Overall, a stay I Look forward to repeating again.

We booked a room as wedding gift for our son and his new bride. The owners were so accommodating and helpful! And our kids absolutely loved the whole experience! They loved their room and the beautiful home. And they said the breakfast was absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend The Painted Lady for any special occasion!

Wow! This place was not just accommodating for a last minute booking but so welcoming and sweet. The breakfast was fabulous and perfect. Great service with a small town feel.

My mom and her husband stayed over Christmas while visiting our family and the service was excellent!
We personally have several children, and my parents would take two each day to spend the night with them over the course of their stay.
Owners were accommodating and genuinely kind to both my children and my parents.
Although I did not personally eat breakfast there, my mother said it was fabulous! Even on Christmas morning, when most people would rather spend time with their own family, the owners made a Christmas feast for my family.
Beds were comfortable, the space was perfect and the decor was wonderful.
I think my extended family has found the perfect place to stay every time they are in town, and I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Franklin County or Kansas City area.

Delightful stay. Wonderful house with a lovely hostess. Sharon was kind and professional, made us cookies when we arrived, and because we couldn’t stay for breakfast-she packed us a to go bag of to die for homemade muffins. We ate dinner on the front porch and found it to be a perfect spot. Thanks for a comfortable stay. We will return.

Wonderful stay!! I stayed here with my bridesmaids before my wedding at the Historic Post Office and it was great! Super clean, great location and amazing hosts. We were able to hangout on the big back patio with our friends and family after the rehearsal, they went above and beyond and let us use two coolers for drinks. Would recommend!!

Sharon and Steve made this a memorable stay. The room was extremely clean, the house is historic and the breakfast was great. We know our B&B's and this one is at the top of the list. You can stay in a historic home, with great company and a great breakfast for less than a hotel. A comparable hotel would be 50% more and still wouldn't have the ambiance of the Painted Lady. We highly recommend the Painted Lady and the cookies were GREAT!

Wow what a nice and comfortable experience!! Sharon was so polite and professional, definitely a class act! The house was super charming and so romantically charming. The entire house including the lawn and landscape was perfect. I will defiantly be back to stay on my next trip to town. Thank you for making my stay so wonderful!!!

This bed and breakfast is AMAZING. The hosts were so kind, and informative! Great atmosphere, with beautiful decor! Very comfy, with all amenities geared for the clients comfort! You won’t be disappointed!
