Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ottawa, an IHG Hotel

The employees at this location are top tier. They're friendly, accommodating, and make sure your stay is excellent. Especially the man that works at the front desk with the ponytail- excellent person and the woman who works the breakfast with the long ponytail- also an amazing person! Kind, helpful, and want to make sure everything is great! We've been staying here for years and honestly would prefer this over "5 star" city hotels! They need to build another one in Ottawa, as this one is frequently sold out!

Great hotel my husband had minor surgery out of town. My son set us up to stay at this Holiday Inn in Ottawa KS. When his surgery was moved earlier the staff had a room ready at noon. The room area was quiet and clean and we felt like we were in good hands. Breakfast was amazing, coffee was great, and the cookies were fantastic!
I could not find one thing to complain and that's saying something. Thank you so very much for all you did to make our stay so stress free!!

VERY nice clean rooms, comfy beds. The breakfast was great and Kim, pictured below, was such a friendly and helpful person! She managed the breakfast area, at least on the days we were there.

Clean room staff was great at check in. Restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was awesome! Definitely recommend this hotel.

They got me in my room early. Beds super clean and comfy, ac has constant fan, shower is great, carpet is clean, smell is great, service is great. Right next to pizza hut too

This place was an amazing stay! The free breakfast was great with plenty of option (eggs, cereal, yogurt, bacon, and more) location is very nice as well, and I saw a deer!

I always ask for a quiet room, and this time was given a room at the end of the hallway on the top floor. The room was clean and modern. I had a peaceful night's sleep. The person at the front desk had no problem with me bringing my pet rat in a small cage into the room. I also appreciated the coffee and chocolate chip cookies (yum!) which were in the lobby. I had a nice snack after checking in. Breakfast was good, too. I especially enjoyed the cheese omelette. And, in the provided "To Go" bag, I took a yogurt and orange with me for lunch on the road. This seems like one of the newer (or at least, more recently renovated) locations, and I would stay here again.

Really nice clean modern hotel, staff was friendly and helpful. Indoor pool and hot tub. Above average breakfast bar with pancakes, no waffles. Complimentary Chocolate Chip cookies in the lobby. Rooms are plush with a large TV. Pet Friendly... for a price.

I stayed here again and the staff here are incredibly nice. I extended my stay by 1 night and was told I could keep the same room. I left to run errands and the front desk called to ask if I'd be OK with moving rooms because another guest had requested that room a while back. I wasn't able to make it back in time and i told them they could just put my stuff behind the desk or something and id get it when i got back from KC. They moved my things for me to my new room and put everything exactly where it was in the old one. They even plugged in my phone charger and set the thermostat to the same temperature. There are hotels closer to the city but I highly doubt they have that much attention to detail and guest experience. Things like that are why I choose this hotel instead of one that has more modern amenities like smart tv's and stuff. (The wifi is great and if you have a samsung phone, you can screen mirror to the Samsung tv in the room.)

We only stayed for a night but the receptionists were very friendly, staff was polite. The room was clean, neat and comfortable. The bathroom was the same, plenty of towels, great soap surprisingly! Breakfast was good, tasty for a hotel breakfast. There were lots of kids, not to noisy but obviously a safe and comfortable place for families. The location is good, surrounded by almost anything you might need if you're just staying a night or two.

I had a wonderful stay here. Spent 2 nights. Breakfast service was good. Front desk interaction was positive. Parking was packed, but it was Ottawa University’s graduation weekend 🤷🏻‍♂ so kinda was expected. Rooms were clean. Lobby and shared area like the breakfast, restrooms, were well kept. This would be one of my top choice is I were to stay in Ottawa again.

I travel quite a lot and I've found that Holiday Inn Expresses are pretty reliably decent for this class of accommodation. The thing that stood out to me (and motivated me to write this review) was one of the front desk staff, Brittany. She was so friendly and warm when checking my group in and then went above and beyond to assist me with an issue that arose during the stay. It was evident that she held herself to a very high level of service and genuinely wanted the best experience possible for all of her guests.

Yummy cookies all day. Fitness center was good, pool looked clean.
I was working in the lobby and this staff is on point- cleaning, helping, nice to each other. I'll be back!

Oh, and visit Prime Time restaurant across the street! Good stuff!

Clean, comfortable and worth coming back!
Front staff was professional and kind.
Complimentary water, cookie and hot chocolate station.
Rooms are efficiently arranged.
Breakfast was full of delicious options.
Pool hours are extended than usual hotel pool hours, which was nice for our kiddos.
Noon check out is also a nice piece, as we tend to get around at a slower pace on hotel mornings!
Pillows in the room are marked "soft" or "firm" that's pretty cool!

Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds. Indoor heated pool was nice and appreciated the gym.

I was traveling far from home (Ohio) and needed to rest, so I decided randomly to stop in Ottawa and stay here: this was a very good decision! The room was incredibly clean, comfortable, and modern. The staff were all very nice and accommodating. Fully recommended!

This was by far the Best Hoilday inn express i have ever stayed at. And I've stayed at a lot of them due to my Job. The breakfast was so good. The staff were awesome. Definitely would stay at this one again. 💯👌
