Wonderful place. Great people. We're very lucky to have a theater like this in town..

Loads of upgrades! Local beers and food served. 2 cinemas and a viewing area called “The Tree House” you could rent while overlooking The main Redwood cinema. The Pinecone cinema hold 38 people comfortably. Newly constructed deck next door will feature outdoor movies under the stars! What a great job with all the renovations!

BRING A BLANKET! I love this theater, great video and sound quality, amazing staff, popcorn and snacks are excellent...but it is always freezing cold inside. Seriously. It was warmer outside when we left tonight, and the temperature outside was 52 degrees.

The owner is super nice; always smiling. This rubs off on her counter staff, the high school kids. Please support Redwood Theater by buying something on which to snack because admission fee is too low. No, I have no stake, financial or otherwise, in the Theater. They are just a bright spot in the sea of grey-clouded customer service nowadays.

Just got back from watching " After Earth". The popcorn is really good with real butter and the seats are comfy. I wish the movie theater where I live was as nice. I go to the movies every time I come the Brookings. Oh and it's clean.

Ignore the elitists. This theater is relatively cheap (especially concessions) compared to bigger theater chains. Yeah it's a bit older but its always clean and the service is fantastic and often personal. They dont always get all the movies but it's a two screen place in small town and they do their best. If this was chain I would give it 3 stars. But for a home brew movie theater; They knock it out of the park. Way better then the theater in near by Crescent City.

Love this place. I don't go to the movies often but it's a nice choice to have in Brookings.
Prices are fair, snacks are good, and a small selection of beer and cider for the adults.

Love this local theater! The selections try to reach a variety of locals--something for everyone (although you can't please "everyone" if you read the one negative review). I enjoy the double & reclining seats. The place is a clean and comfortable place to enjoy a good flick!

Great price for first run movies. Comfy enough seating, and nice to have the option to catch a movie if you're staying in Brookings.

I took my 3 year old daughter to see Ralp Breaks the internet. The Seats were awesome. They have love seats in the back two rows of the big theater room. So my daughter and myself got to sit real close to each other. The 3 girls working the snack stand were extremely sweet and talked to my daughter told her they loved her dress etc. The highlight though. The Lady working the stand. Doana, I have never had someone go that high above the duty of work for me. We arrived to see the movie early to make sure we had seats. She let us know that the big theater rarely sells out but that little one did a lot. She showed us the theater since we weren’t familiar and also showed us how to check online to see if the movie we wanted to see was in the big theater or small. She talked to my daughter for several minutes making her feel extremely at home. Later toward the end it the movie my 3 year old was hungry. I had popcorn, candy, etc. She wanted something that wasn’t junk food. They didn’t have anything. So I told her I was sorry but they didn’t have anything. My daughter was sad and wanted to go. Doana seen the situation. So she took us back to her office and went through her personal stash and gave my daughter a healthy snack. I thought I was going to have to leave but it was just enough to go back in and finish the movie. After the movie she asked my daughter if she enjoyed the movie asked specifics asked her name. Then we found out her daughter had the same name as her. Then we were about to leave and she comes out and gives her two little toys and that made my daughter chuckle and smile. Thank you Doana and thank you Redwood theater we will be back. Lord willing. Also I rarely leave reviews of places but I was impressed. Happy Thanksgiving

The seating is excellent. The Redwood shows both 2D and 3D movies. The theater shows most first-run films. The popcorn is served with (gasp!) real butter. AND the floor isn't sticky!

I've been coming to Brookings over 10 years and finally decided to go to the Redwood Theater this trip with my fiance and it was a treat. We watched the new Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tale and the experience was amazing. The atmosphere was fun and the popcorn was amazing. Plus everything was a lot cheaper than Cinemark. I label this as a GEM of Brookings in my book! We will definitely be coming back again!

This is like the little theater that could. Nestled in the heart of downtown Brookings, the Redwood Theater is a two show movie theater. They do show all the latest movies. They have several matinees on the weekends. Their price is reasonable for this day and time. They also give back to the community. They have a special showing every Christmas holiday season of the Polar Express free to the community as well as other events throughout the year. They also have school movie day events for the elementary and middle schoolers every spring. They may be small but they make up for their size with heart for their people of Brookings.

This is wonderful! I bought 3 tickets for my family and my father came later and bought an extra ticket. They refunded me the extra ticket and were super sweet about. Thank you!
