They have gluten free options! I had a plain jane on gf bread and added pesto cream cheese. Their gf French toast was great too! We came here three days in a row while we were visiting. The employees are so kind and the food is good.

Hands down one of the best coffees I have had in the states. Everything we ordered for breakfast tasted great. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

This is such a cute place! The latte was the best I’ve ever had! The fruit and yogurt bowl was beautiful and delicious. Very friendly staff!

Food was fantastic - we all loved each of our dishes. I had the Chicken Pesto Avocado Panini, and it was perfect. Atmosphere is charming and pleasant. Prices reasonable. Service was friendly and warm. A welcome highlight among Brookings food establishments.

This little spot is a gem and the food and service is outstanding. I loved the coffee and tea, the egg sandwich and yogurt. It was my breakfast spot every day.

Cute little cafe owned by family who takes great pride in the food, service and ambiance. Really loved the latte and the coziness of the space. Highly recommend it and will come again for some food next time.

We just stopped n for some hot coffee after camping for 4 days. One of my favorite drinks is a Mexi Mocha, and this has been one of the best I’ve had in quite a while. Great blend of flavors with a balanced mix between the coffee, chocolate, and cinnamon, and with using real ingredients rather than the fake cinnamon syrup like so many places do. We will definitely be back here our next time through town.

Absolutely love compass rose! Each type of coffee, from the rich espresso to the creamy lattes, is brewed to perfection. Their donuts are a perfect complement—fresh, flavorful, and wonderfully creative. It's my go-to spot for a delightful treat any time of the day. Highly recommended!

Great place to stop off for coffee as we did late this morning. We enjoyed the latte and the mocha. And the atmosphere was lovely so we stayed for a bit and chatted.

Just ordered food for delivery from here and the food was BEYOND exceptional. If you want flavor this is the place to go. Couldn't have been better for for a relaxing Saturday morning. Will definitely have to go inside and eat.

Delicious French Toast! And the sweet, caring staff catered, especially, to our 18-month old little guy. A relaxing, refreshing stop-off for a late breakfast!

Really good cafe, they do have food available but I was just there for a cappuccino. Dutch bros and starbucks has nowhere to sit, so if you’re looking for someplace to cool your heels this is the coffee shop to stop at

Coffee was great! Shots were pulled well and the milk was steamed perfectly.

Food was fantastic, the jalapeño bagel sandwich was well made and exactly what youd expect. The biscuits and gravy were on a whole other level. Fantastic flavor, texture, and very fresh.

Inside seating area is cute and the outdoor boardwalk seating was great for a sunny coastal morning!

Will be coming here every time I visit Brookings.

My partner & I came to Brookings to get away from the smoke in Southern Oregon. We were looking for a coffee shop that has breakfast sandwiches and coffee. We love how great the food and beverages are. We ate the plain breakfast sandwich, turkey melt, ham panini ( not in photo), & homemade broccoli cheddar soup. All we’re amazing. It’s always great when you find great brunch while traveling. This family owned spot brings creativity, quality, care, & newness for many locals & travelers.

We had the best service. This place is family owned and operated by the sweetest mom and her kids. The food was incredible and the coffee/lattes were the best we’ve EVER had! Whenever we come visit we will be making this a regular stop!

Friendly staff, cute interior and delicious coffee/food. I got a honey bee (the perfect amount of sweetness) and one of the biggest, tastiest brownies I've ever had. All the baked goods looked great, and they do have real food as well, including grab and go hot burritos. GF and vegetarian options as well as alternative milks available. Despite coming right before closing, staff didn't rush me and answered my menu questions. There's indoor and outdoor seating and a few parking spots right out front.

The food here is great and the workers are so kind. They went out of their way to help me look for something I lost and were very nice about it. Such a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend

Wonderful place! Popped into Compass Rose and was so happy to find a friendly kind atmosphere that is welcome to all. LBGTQAI+ friendly 11/10 recommend and the drinks and food are great. There was a steady stream of people coming in and lots of people at tables enjoying their morning. My old standby coffee shop has new ownership and it’s gone downhill, Compass Rose is my new spot.

This is a favorite spot for coffee, food, and atmosphere. The family owners are kind and friendly. The food is freshly and deliciously prepared. We feel like family when we are here.
