Chan's Restaurant

We moved here shortly before covid. We did take out several times, each time the oil in the rice was older, the egg rolls... looked gummy. They tasted allright if you didnt have to look at them. And my chow mein was different than my husbands. So, we quit ordering from Chans. Scrolling forward, to 2024...its now February. We have ordered twice, recently. Both times, everything was great. Wow! I dont know what changed but it really has. Thank you sooooo much.

I've thought about eating here a few times before and always talked myself out of it. I guess because of the location and the look from outside, kind of tucked away in the corner of the lot. Well I finally decided to give it a shot and I'm not sorry that I did. The food was good and came out fast and so hot we had to let it cool some before we could eat it. The service was great too. Overall it was a really good experience, no complaints. It wasn't all that busy when we were there so it was a surprisingly good experience. I will go back again and try some other things on the menu.

Only been here once but it was excellent. Broccoli Beef and Happy Family dinners. Hot and Sour, Egg Flower soups very good. Egg roll was mushy cabbage on the inside, nice and crunchy outside - but the inside was way too mushy and no flavor for me to like the eggrolls, and would not order these separately again unless it was once-off thing. Only one server but wasn't too crowded. Big menu selection, so I wonder how they can do so many things very well, unless the chef here has been doing it a long time, hopefully is the case because I love some good Chinese food. Fried rice was pretty good too. Crab puffs were excellent and good value. Overall a very good meal even though a bit pricey for take out at $75 for 3 meals and one appetizer. Will definitely go back because just can't make Chinese this good,

This is the best Chinese Food Restaurant in Brookings!! And has beautiful inexpensive jewelry up front for sale! Also, handmade masks!
The customer service is always so wonderful! And the food is AMAZING!! Also, can add spicy to anything you want for a small extra fee! Try the House Special Lo Mien and add the spicy 🌶

Awesome food. Awesome service. Awesome prices. What else can, I say? I love Chan's! You'll find, Chan's, on Shopping Center Ave, Just before Lower Harbor Road, across the street from, the boat ramp and fish cleaning station. Across the parking lot from Fat Irish Pub. Tell em' Eddy sent ya', and you'll get a strange look, for free.

The food is delicious, cooked fresh with ample portions. They offer full lunch and dinner specials at a lower price. The fried wontons are fantastic!!The staff is always friendly.

This is a small unassuming place. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was fantastic. Very large portions. We were traveling, and didn't have a way to save left overs, so we had to leave at least a couple of meals worth of food. Good food. I had a mu goo gia pan combination plate, my wife had pork egg foo yung.

Best Chinese food I've ever had and, everyone from the staff is great along with the other happy customers.

This is the best place in our area it's always fresh and hot and the service is good. We always order the pork fried rice, chicken chow mein, almond chicken, general Tao chicken and egg rolls.

The meal was fantastic 😋 everything tasted amazing. It really hit the spot.

Great place - first time in and I’m sure it won’t be the last! Food is fresh and looks great. Portions are perfect, not excessive or skimpy and the prices are very reasonable. We got our order to go and went to the nearby harbor and had our lunch by the ocean. Perfect on all counts

Of all the times we went to Brookings, we went when it snowed and Chan's, another Chinese restaurant, and one other restaurant were opened and we chose to go here. The food was good and we were happy that they were opened. I guess if anything goes crazy in Brookings and you are looking for a place to eat, you can count on Chan's being open.

Huge selection of food.. it was difficult to make a decision because I wanted to try it all. The portions are massive.. very reasonably priced and the food was delicious.. I will be going back , God willing.
