Excellent state park facility with friendly staff, quiet campers, amazing views, and good privacy. The shrubs between sites make the closeness of the camps feel quite secluded. The beach walking is a 10/10! We really enjoyed sun setting over the scenic coast. The water pressure in the showers is incredible too.

We make an annual trek here every winter to camp, as we enjoy the beach any time of year and it is less busy then. The showers are hot and the campground is well kept. We have a small RV and love the ocean view sites very much.

I normally tent camp. But I was down for several days for work and needed something a bit more and didn’t want to pay for a hotel. In comes the only available Yurt at Harris Beach State Park.

Nice campground. I have been before. Always as a tenter. But got my hybrid tent/hotel experience this time with a Yurt. New floors. Well maintained. Friendly staff.

Campground and bathrooms and showers were very clean. Really close to Brookings. Great beach access. There is a playground nearby for kids and plenty of hiking near by as well.

Only complaint is the firewood they sell sucks. It is super wet. So. Bring at least one bundle of dry wood if you buy from here. Mix the dry with on site wood to get fire going.

Don't hesitate to stop by this place and spend time. Why? Just go and don't worry ,,, I couldn't stay for a long time because there is no RV parking lot, but there are really cool sights in the morning and it will be ecstatic to walk along the beautiful trail. strongly recommend this place

Lovely, family friendly beach and campground. There is great tide pooling, especially in winter. We love to go at sunset when it’s less crowded and super peaceful. Facilities are nice and there is are a couple of spigots to rinse off. The campground has a cute playground and I love the rocky beach trail too. It’s more frequented by tourists than some other local breakers but there’s plenty of space and the appeal is totally understandable!

Made a short visit here. Had lunch at the picnic tables then went for a walk on the beach. Very nice sandy beach. Would be great for swimming in the summer.

Love this beach! Easy to find, right off the highway, plenty of parking. A little steep incline to get down to the beach but otherwise a very nice beach with beautiful views! The bathroom area even had a little foot washing station to wash the sand off your feet which I thought was really cool.

Hands down one of the best Oregon State Parks and beach. This is our second time staying at the campground with our RV. It is a tough place to book so you have to be flexible or quick as the dates become available. The campground is very well maintained just like any of the OR state parks. Spaces are a very nice size to accommodate extra setup like canopies or tents for others as well as your vehicle. Nearby bike trails that take you along 101 to Brookings (which is close by) or north up the coast is great. Walking to the beach is downhill which is easy for most folks, but an uphill walk could be a challenge for some (an ebike is great for coming back) but you can take a vehicle down if needed. The beach is absolutely gorgeous high tide, low tide, foggy, and sunny and worth going to everyday for a different experience.

I stopped by Harris Beach
to see the largest island on
the Oregon Coast with amazing views of sea stacks.

The rocky coastline has tide
pools to explore, a wide
variety of sea life to look
for, and a sandy beach to
walk on.

Bird Island is part of the
National Wildlife Sanctuary
and very impressive to
see.

The park has a number of
camping options including
yurts, RV, and tent sites
with hot showers.

Located at mile marker 376,
just North of the Chetco
River Bridge near Brookings.

A great place to camp, watch
whales at certain times of
the year, view amazing
sunsets over the rugged
coastline, and go hiking
on a number of trails with
great views.

Amazing park! The beach is beautiful, with the rock structures. I would also highly recommend the camp ground. Easily accessible, and close to Brookings.
Lots of wildlife here, unfortunately we didn’t see any whales, but I know that’s more rare.
Sunset trail is the perfect sunset spot (don’t stick around too long after the sun sets, as people come to the beach to smoke)
There is so much to do up the coast as well (Samuel H Boardman)

We finally got to stay here! Such a beautiful part of the Oregon coast! It is January, so pretty wet. But we can see the ocean from our RV. So many trails to walk on. Will definitely return.

Definitely one of my favorite state parks in all of Oregon. The campground is pristine and the short walk to the beach provides some of the most spectacular views on the southern coast!

Beautiful views of the waves crashing in...
Different parking lots giving you different views of the ocean, sunset, waves. Waves were very high and dangerous when my wife and I went. Please be careful of the sneaker waves that do appear on the Oregon coast!

A very pretty view and cool story posted about the lighthouse that used to be there in the 1800's.

The beach was absolutely beautiful. Cool and overcast, perfect beach day. Amenities: overlook, picnic area, bathrooms, outdoor shower & outdoor foot shower and most importantly for us, a handicap ramp for our son. Highly recommend!

This is one of the best beaches in Oregon, my grandfather would bring us here every year to teach us about the sea life in the tide pools. It's always clean, never crowded and full of incredible creatures to observe. You won't regret visiting 💗

Stayed at the campground for a couple of days and everyone in the area was super nice. The beach was easy to access and the area was breathtaking.

Beautiful campground, 🚲 allowed. Caution with large trailures backing in to your spot can be tricky. Single Showers, bathrooms for 3 threwout. Full hookup or limited depending on cost, tent sites or trailures in same loops. Good for the price. Wildlife does visit so put trash away don't leave food out. We had a small skunk one night, thankfully our dog slept threw(dogs allowed on leash) or we may have been sprayed. Beautiful greenery and flowers, saw stellar Jay's , Robin's, crows, hummingbirds in July-August.

Short walk downhill to the beach, path needs fixed wear good 👞. Beautiful beach, often shells, stones, drift wood, crabs, sea grass, sometimes starfish visible on rocks to the left. No fires on beach allowed.

Easy beach access is rare in this part of the Oregon coast and not only does Harris have it, they have a wheelchair ramp down to the sand. This, along with beautiful walkable beach, good facilities, free parking and some picnic benches makes it a perfect spot to stop and enjoy life for a few hours
