I came here to see the sword while driving up from SoCal to Seattle. It’s definitely worth a stop if you’re passing through. Such a cool piece of history.

Wow this library is amazing! We’ve been traveling all over the North America and this is one of the best libraries we’ve been to. Fast WiFi, always clean and organized, and plenty of amazing events to do!

I went today. It is closed for renovation. There is a library annex across the street which is open.

Clean library with decent selection. Organized online directory. Children's section is secluded in a separate room to allow playtime with provided building-toys and reclined seating. Can borrow up to 50 items for 3 weeks, which auto-renews unless someone else has the book/item on hold.

A beautifully remodeled library that I've been very thankful to spend my time on these stormy winter days. The ability to charge devices is very useful and I love the multiple rooms available for quiet reading, collaborating, and the makers space! I'll keep coming back again and again. Top notch public library.

A friend & I visited in June 2021. The library was undergoing renovations...but the library director allowed us to view Nobuo Fujita's 400 year old Samurai sword. It was quite a treat!!

Great library for such a small town. The website looks and works great as well. The renovation looks great and the little pod work stations are awesome since they have a like whole first class flight set up with outlets and all. Super easy to put your head down and get to work. They have great Wi-Fi since the renevation as well. For all my fellow nerds out there, they're hitting speeds of over 400 mbps.

The Chetco public library was recently remodeled and has plenty of space and seating as well as terminals that can be used for the internet.

The internet is particularly fast because it is a fiber optic connection that can run as high as 200 megabits per second.

Serious Geeks (like me) like the fact the library is not blocking secure ports like 22, or 23, for SSH and SFTP.

Nice library. Didn’t have much chance to explore because I came in late after shortly arriving in town to get some work paperwork etc. printed. The process was efficient and librarian very helpful! Some people left coins behind that I got to use since I currently don’t have any coins on hand either.

The Brookings Library is not a disappointment. It has a dozen computer stations, WiFi, Media, and plenty of quite spaces to work. The staff are knowledgeable and a helpful resource. Check out the local art work and the ancient Samurai swords gifted to the community.

There was this Lady that I was very fond of, she checked n bought new anime movies for me every time I visited, I was rlly excited when I saw her at the counter she's awesome. She also wrote me a little note one day that I was having a hard time and it made me smile. I hope she still works there cause I miss going over there and seeing someone just as happy as I am, it makes my day and I hope it makes hers, I hope she'll read this too. Thank you, I think the library is a great place to chill out and find some videos or books that you'd really like.

Sincerely- Kiahlyn Oyler. :)

This place is worth visiting just to learn about the history behind the sword on display - it's an interesting bit of history that you may have never heard before.

The library staff are knowledgeable and a helpful resource. They helped my friend who is blind apply and get on the Commision for the Blind. He now has an endless supply of AUDIO books to listen to.

This is the nicest library on the Southern Oregon Coast, the atmosphere is quiet (as a library should be), friendly staff, wi-fi, plenty of magazines and newspapers, and be sure to catch the book sales for some great deals.
