This visitor center is a bright and open building that is just stuffed full of brochures, area information, fun beach information and even some cute activities for kids! Our kids really enjoyed touching the bones and shells in the science area! It was so nice to stop here on our road trip. It is also within a short walking distance to the ocean and to some beautiful little forest corridor areas just off the parking lot area!

There are nice trails around the welcome center. You can go to the beach, walk along the Winchuck River, walk through a tree shaded area, or walk in the sun with trees on the sides of the trail to break the wind. Nice wild flowers for the paths. It is dog friendly and restrooms are available.

The staff here was very friendly and informative. She gave good recommendations, and the other staff member helped us find the best route since there was road closures. The facility was clean and well stocked with information brochures, stickers, and painted rocks!

As far as welcome centers go this was very welcoming. Picnic tables with views of the ocean. Plenty of room to stretch and walk. Beach access. Nice RR facilities. Friendly staff. Lots of info and brochures. And while we were there, they were having a concert!

A must stop! There are so many brochures and posters available. It's amazing what Oregon has to offer. The staff was extremely helpful. We are van travelers and they had some free stickers we added to our collection. Once you stock up on all the wonderful information, bread down to the beautiful beach. You won't want to leave.

We visited this stellar facility on the morning of Sept. 8th. Just a truly fabulous place full of brochures, maps, and historical interest pieces...As wonderful as the information might be (in a spotless and beautiful building), it is the staff that make the place exceptional...kind, gracious, full of personality and helpfulness...just great people. It is they that transcend the natural beauty of the place and make visiting Oregon as sublime of an experience as it is....much respect, and many thanks!
