Townies Brewery

Stopped in at Noon on a Sunday and were the only ones here. (But there was a home U of M game going on.) And the Beer Jockey said they usually get busy around 2pm ish. Hubsy and I each had a flight. I liked my beers-hubsy said he like everything but the stout, which tasted contaminated, so maybe a bad barrel. We shared a street corn dip and chips, asked for second cup of dip to finish up the chips. We were surprised it was cold, but both thought it was good anyway. Beer jockey( he named himself) was knowledgeable about the beers and could give recommendations on other breweries to stop at. Tag A Brew participant and lots of swag and decor items available to purchase.

We stopped by the Townies Brewery for a few drinks and really enjoyed our stay. I was too in the moment to get pics, but they have a very chill atmosphere. The main brew room has high top tables. Staff was friendly. They have a game room and a very nice patio with cabanas and fire places. There is even a lawn area out back. Very nice!

Drove up from o$u central ohio to hit some breweries in AA. Our K9s named Tshimanga and Desmond came along to explore.

Townes was a pleasant visit. Offering some big number beers for me, with some lower number beers and seltzer for the Mrs. Outdoor area outstanding. Inside gaming area looked amazing.

Very nice environment. There is a lot of outdoor space with distanced seating. It was well lite and a nice ambiance. Nice brews and it is dog friendly which is wonderful! We are always thankful for the option to bring our pup. We look forward to visiting again.

Really enjoyed our visit here. The beers were tasty! Alina said it was her 3rd day working here, and she did great. Love the outdoor space; we enjoyed sitting by the firepit table in the sunshine. We picked up our Tag-a-Brew and they had some cool merchandise items, but no coozies :( We will definitely visit again if we're in the area.

I hosted a wedding shower at Townies and the staff and owners exceeded our expectations in every way! The food, the service, the room set up…were all fabulous! Our guests all raves about what a great time they had there. I would absolutely recommend going there! It’s so cute and the beer and ciders are fantastic. Grab a drink and head out to a fire pit! It’s the perfect way to spend some time.

Great place, love stopping here. Highly recommended for tasty brews. Great atmosphere and activities.

Varied beer selection, local pub atmosphere, courteous staff

What a great place! The people are all friendly and the selection of beer and cider is amazing! With a gluten issue, I always need to be careful. I was surprised by the selection and more importantly the taste of the cider I chose!
The fact that there is also a food truck there adds to the great experience we have when we go there! This place gets a 5 star from me all the way!

Finally a brewery that's sophisticated with amazingly fun indoor and outdoor spaces combined with the all important excellent beers. They brew twice a week, so the beer is fresh, flights are offered, loved their "backyard" area and with the recent evening chill, we sat at their chic fire pit/table. The brewmaster/bartender was friendly, helpful and kicked us off with some great beer choices. Small logo store, lots of fun memorabilia and a fantastic evening was had by all! We will be back!

Simply stated; Townies offers a Great atmosphere, great beer, and delicious food! Townies is a very family friendly place, with activities as well. Tonight we ordered the cilantro lime shrimp tacos, taquito basket, the hand cut fries, and the spinach and strawberry salad. All were delicious and We would have taken pictures if we hadn’t have ate that fast. FYI: the Menu does change frequently, so best to look online if interested.in regards to the beer: Mr. Tangerine Man is the jam right now. It Offers much flavor for an IPA spin.

Great customer service, food is slightly pricey, but the space is lovely and expansive. They have a game room and a back yard. Definitely a hidden gem of Ann Arbor.

Decent beer and welcoming vibe. Considering that Homes and Wolverine are both very close by, Townies doesn't really stand out in its selection of (or lack of) unique beers. But if you just want to have a nice IPA and chill, not a bad place!

Note to owner: I was able to bring food one day and not allowed another day because the grill was out. Do you allow outside food or not? Make up your mind!

Beautiful outdoor space, including for the winter, with plush chairs, area covers, and fire center tables, which adds pretty good warmth to the table space.

Small but good menu items, and the few beers we tried were great.

What a cool atmosphere to enjoy a cold beer. We went in on a Wednesday and had some fun playing trivia while sampling a flight of their specialty brews. The outdoor area is very relaxing with different seatIng options and cool fire pits. We will definitely be back!

Interesting place! They have some pretty good food (we made the veggie taco vegan), great interesting beers for all, and a neat game room with darts and pool. Excited to go back again.

If you have ever met me I’m a non brewery beer type girl so naturally I was nervous going to Townies but to my surprise their beer was AMAZING and I found a favorite! Beer was great, staff was great and we even got to meet the charming owners! Best brewery in Ann Arbor!!

Good beer! I particularly liked the sour (I forget the name) and Red Beard. They also have Norma Jean, a blonde ale named after the blonde bombshell herself!

The atmosphere is super cute, dogs are allowed *inside* which is so lovely. They have a nice patio too. No food, but you can bring your own, or it's right next door to Chela's so you can order takeout from there and carry it over. They also have free popcorn!

One downside is a very very tiny parking lot that's hard to get in and out of. Pro tip: overflow parking is available at Deluxe Drapes, which is right next door on the east side. I'll park there in the future and skip Townies tiny cramped lot.
