My husband and I have had nothing but positive experiences here. Mr. Morgan is a very knowledgeable and kind auto mechanic. His floor manager, Steve, is just the same. He has helped save us thousands of dollars in car related issues. He knows many workarounds, solutions, and other helpful tips. Great customer service! Would highly recommend.

Wonderful experience at Colonial Tire. Had a new tire installed and a state inspection. Great communication from start to finish and professional. WiFi in the waiting room.

I dropped in with a loose wheel and without an appointment. All I needed was a single tire flipped on its rim. Removed, remounted. Simple. I got exactly what I asked for, and at a fair price. Dropped off the wheel at 1, promised it by 3, and it was there and ready as promised. Also everyone in the front office is friendly and helpful. So that's a bonus. And I learned a couple of new things about Michelin tires as well, thanks to Steve. Many years ago, so long ago, I went there in a jam as it was out of the way, and I think I had a successful visit. Now it's not so out of the way for me, and I think I'll be back.

I got unexpected news that my front tire had a very unsafe bulge in it. My dad recommended Colonial Tire and I worked with Tyler and his customer service was amazing! Got me in the very next morning with two new tires and got me in and out in under an hour. I can’t recommend this shop enough!! I live in Raleigh and will be happy to drive to Durham and use this shop as my new go to place to service my car for all needs!

My Mazda has a tire pressure sensor that likes to cry wolf. It will ping and stay on for days despite everything being fine. Colonial Tire has been very nice when I have driven in to ask if maybe I am losing my mind and the pressure is wrong despite my having measured it.
They replaced my tires two yrs ago, no problem.
Today they quickly removed a 3 inch nail, patched the tire, and had me back on the road before I'd settled into the waiting area.

Colonial Tire & Automotive is the best! I am not a native of the area and was having a hard time finding someone to fix my truck. My friend recommended Colonial Tire & Automotive and Tyler was so helpful and nice(cute too). They fixed my truck and at a price that I could afford. He was definitely accommodating with pickup and that sent me over the top. I live in Raleigh and will come back to Durham anytime to have any work done. Thank you CT&A

I have gone to Colonial Tire a few times for various needs (state inspections, new tires, etc) for both my husband and I’s cars. I am able to get in same day or close to it and charges/work are always as explained. I have had difficult times in the past with mechanics and attempted to give me the run around but this is NEVER the case here. I am not upsold on ridiculous work or parts. I feel so comfortable coming here that I have opted in when my husband’s car needed looked at. I could not rave enough about this place!

It’s 2024; few things are affordable, and hardly ANYTHING is free anymore. I called the folks at colonial tire earlier today when I noticed a screw logged in my front tire. They got me within an hour or so, and had me out in even less time than that. And they didn’t charge me for the patch - can’t thank them enough, they are a great shop!

Great experience. Very nice and honest autoworkers. They go above and beyond to explain issues with your vehicle.

My partner & I pulled up with our boat trailer that got a flat tire on the highway- we pulled in and they immediately helped us and were so kind! Thank you so much!

I've known Steve, Roy, and Lawrence for years. Not sure why but just never left a review on how great these mechanics are. I'm not a car guy, like I know a little, but not a lot. They always take the time to explain what's happening with my car and what they are gunna do to fix it. They start with the most likely cause and do their best to keep the budget down. I've got mechanics in my family that have told me what it costs to fix "XYZ" with my car and Colonial always came up with a very similar price. I drove a car from 2003 with 250k miles on and these guys helped me with it everytime I needed it. I wish them all the best over there at Colonial Tire.

I called Colonial Tire just yesterday and was able to get in with them today to renew my tires. I thought they all needed a replacement, but Chris kindly checked it out beforehand and was incredibly kind and transparent, telling me I only needed two new tires. Incredibly well priced, very efficient and had my vehicle ready when they stated it would be. Feeling very grateful, as someone who knows nothing about cars, that I’ve found a trustworthy, knowledgeable and friendly place to take mine! Huge thank you to Chris and the crew for all the help!!

Such fast and friendly service! I normally don’t like going to automotive shops, but I felt completely comfortable during the short wait for my car to be done! Steve is the best and makes sure his customers are taken care of! Highly recommend!

I've been here a couple of times for tires and I always had a good experience here. Kevin and Lawrence were both nice and helpful and I got everything done quickly. The pricing was better than a lot of other places in the area.

As someone who despises getting any work done on my car, Colonial is literally the only place I've ever not dreaded going to for auto-needs. Their prices are good, work is done well, and incredible customer service is unbeatable. I became a customer because of their reviews and can truthfully say that they exceeded my expectations. My wife and I took both of our cars into Colonial Tire for different issues and each time we found the staff friendly and the service was exceptional. Good prices, too. It's hard to find all that these days, especially with mechanics. So now that we have, Colonial will be the place we bring our cars for servicing.

I've had nothing but great experiences every time I've been to Colonial Tire, and the same is true for multiple friends of mine (I've started referring everyone there.) I've specifically interacted with Kevin the times I've been there, and he is always kind and earnest. He takes the time to explain repairs and why they need to be done, and is understanding and ready to offer options when my budget is tight. I've never encountered this sort of honesty and good faith in an auto shop, especially when it is so easy for shops to pull one over on those without much automotive knowledge. I'll definitely remain a customer at Colonial as long as I'm in the Triangle!

Was highly recommended by a friend of mine.....Upon entering I was met by Chris and a technician of his whom took my concerns about my vehicle seriously. After test driving and placing on the lift, I was told the noise I had been hearing was from the rear brakes in which I needed new pads/rotors. Chris presented me with different cost effective options which I will be returning next week to get the work completed.

Colonial is the only place I take my competition vehicle to for alignments. They're consistent, precise, and repeatable. Their alignment tech really does care about doing it right, and takes pride in his work. Even better, they're very well priced. They've also done excellent, quick work mounting and dismounting race tires for me.

Very friendly people, even the technicians in the back are friendly and outgoing.

They're an honest shop, doing great work at very fair prices. A real diamond in the rough.
