We are so happy with our beautiful Golden Retriever puppy purchase we made today. Our experience was excellent. I am so tired of all of the fake reviews targeting good businesses. Today my wife and I and our 2 children went into this store after a failed attempt at getting a rescue dog from a shelter. The shelter dog seemed to be abused, neglected and completely traumatized. It was also very ill. The dogs in this store were the complete opposite. They were happy, playful, clean and looked to be in great health. The owner took extra time to tell us about our dog and the other dogs he had available. He truly cares about his animals and it shows. Please stop reading all of the negative reviews and check this place out for yourself. You might just find your next best friend!

This place reminds me of the country pet stores I use to visit in the 80s.
I have been looking everywhere for a male Basset hound,so I called and spoke with owner,he was so kind and informative. I made the long drive up there and found my baby.
Couldn't be happier. I have worked with and had dogs all my life, and this dog is a happy puppy.
So it's hard to read the bad reviews about a rude owner or the dogs are mistreated. Definitely not my experience!

The store owner is not charismatic for sure, but he knows a lot about the aquatic part of his establishment. I've bought fish and aquarium plants from every pet store in town, and the only ones that are healthy and have survived came from Town & Country. A+ As for the rest of the living things there, if I were in the market for a puppy I would never buy from a pet store. Puppies need space and other puppies - they are pack animals. Buy from a breeder who provides that environment, or go to the Humane Society and adopt.

This is a true pet store! Individual aquariums stocked properly. There are amazing reptiles and high quality puppies in the back. The owner is a no-nonsense guy who will tell it to you straight.

I didnt realize there were so many pet store owner in the comments section! Everyones an expert. I see many people wondering why it's so dusty... maybe because the animals are all bedded in shredded paper or wood chips.... they could have the place spotless in the morning and it will be covered in a layer of fine dust by noon. So many negative reviews from animal rights activists too. They want to outlaw pet shops so I wouldnt listen to them or their biased views. Use your own heads people I'd this place was so bad it wouldnt have survived since the 70's. If you're that worried about other peoples animals go volunteer at a shelter.

He really knows how to care for fish sure he out grew his store years ago ,
but any problem you have he knows the right answer I have gone to him with all my aquarium needs since 1981.
When you buy from town & country you know you will not get fish with ick
like all corp pet stores that run all tanks through the same water filtration system .
He loves what he does and his animals and stands behind all sales,
Great Place Great person

Mark always is more than helpful and has a decent pet store. It's people like those who comment on here bashing businesses they have never even been in and making false statements that make it so hard for a small time business man to succeed thanks to people like you the only pet stores that will be left around are corporate America's Petco and PetSmart's who rob us everyday, teach us nothing, and flood the market further ruining any opportunity for an entrepreneur to get his pet store running and make decent coin off a sale. Everyone sees the building and thinks it's sooo HORRIBLE, he's a small time guy been there 40 years and can't expand or change anything because the public's false accusations and negativity make that extremely hard. His building is just fine, little cramped for a customer maybe but animals have their space, I have seen more dead animals in the new Petco than I can count do to all of all of the light, noise, people, and stress that the animals are exposed to constantly. Nobody fights that battle though because corporate America and there money always win so instead small time businesses get attacked by a bunch of idiots for the tiniest things. If Mark bought a new fancy building tomorrow these reviews would change drastically regardless of the care of the animals. Quit judging the book by its cover.

Love supporting local business. The prices are a bit higher than going to a chain store for reptile supplies. Again, it's worth supporting local business. The gentleman was very helpful and knowledgeable as well. If you're in Loveland and need feeder rats, here's the place.
