Turnpike Motel

Even with a storm moving through prior to our arrival that shut down their booking system, they had my reservation and checked me in using paper system smoothly and efficiently with an added discount over online. The owners knew their community well with restaurant recommendations and even pointed us to a community track to get a run in. The rooms were very clean. Shower was hot with great water pressure. It is an older motel which to me is part of the charm. Newly remodeled room with modern bedspreads and pillow top mattress. I personally could have used one more blanket but I feel if I had asked that it would have been provided. I really liked that the air system was independent and on the back wall, plenty of cold ac without pulling any neighboring smoke and had a continuous fan option so sleep not disturbed by unfamiliar noise. I have allergies and did not have a trace of the cigarette if others smoked outside. Did not hear outside noise. Owners very reaponsive. Perfect spot to stop Ohio to Beach.

We accidentally booked a motel up the road that was so disgusting we wouldn't stay. Went to Turnpike, where we intended to book originally. It was our second stay. This motel is clean, they had Xtra pillows too, and an iron and hair dryer. AC kept the room super cold, how we like it. Clerk was fantastic! Very accommodating, friendly with a great sense of humor. Oh, the beds are really comfortable too. I have back problems and this bed was as good as mine at home. We will always stay here when in town. Great price, clean, awesome staff, and excellent location.

This is a great, no-frills, old style motel that has been kept up well. Rooms are clean, bed comfy, has fridge, microwave, ac, hot shower, etc. So what no free breakfast but hey, for the price and 3 different restaurants right next to it I think it's great. The owner is super nice and the staff are helpful and take care of the place well.

The location is especially great for the motorcyclist. So many great routes can be accessed from here while using this little motel as a hub.

Totally enjoyed out stay and will be heading back.

This is a classic no-frills motel, but the rooms have been renovated and are quite nice. The room was SO CLEAN. A few restaurants are within walking distance, and many more are on this exit. The lady at the desk was friendly and helpful.

Great place. Clean, quiet and very friendly staff. Call direct to the hotel since the booking sites don’t always have all the rooms listed. The front desk even asked if I wanted a less expensive room that was available when I checked in. Great customer service. Will stay there again if I am back this way.

Second night here and we love it. Very clean rooms, nicely paved parking lot. Fridge and microwave in rooms. A/C works great. Very safe area. Very comfortable beds. Newly remodeled rooms. Plenty of restaurants and stores within a very short 15 mins or less walk. I will be back.

Nice place. Old style motel but updated and in good shape. Super friendly and helpful owners. A nice family run place. Great value for the money.

What a great little motel. Super clean! Yes it's not "new" but it's very well kept and super cozy. Location is super easy to everything in Princeton and on and off the highway.

Great little motel in the classic American style. The rooms were near and clean. The service was excellent.

Arrived early (12PM) and stopped in just to see if early check was possible. Fortunately, they were able to accommodate. Got in the room to a freshly cleaned cozy room. Heater worked great, beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean. Everything and more that anyone could ask for in a budget motel. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area.

This small place is a great affordable place to stay right off the interstate! Would DEFINITELY stay here again if I ever come through again. Room was clean and decent. Owner is super friendly and extremely welcoming!!

What a very pleasant surprise! On our way from Florida to Ohio, we stopped at Turnpike Motel to catch a couple hours sleep. For $59 we got the most immaculate room with two Queen beds. The room was freshly painted. The shower was nice and hot with good water pressure. The heat worked great. The outside looked like it had recently been remodeled.

The best part, it was quiet (unlike a place we stopped at an hour beforehand and ended up leaving because of the permanent residents partying outside our room).

The only thing that could use some updating are the bedspreads. Other than that, we were extremely happy with our stay. Thank you for a great experience!

This motel is worth the money. It's been remodeled and very nice. The decor is updated and the kitchenette room is incredible.

Second time staying here and the rooms were clean and good affordable price

Clean, affordable, family friendly, very cozy! Bathrooms were nicely remodeled, and room was spacious. Easy in and out off the highway. We stopped here last-minute on a road trip, and all other nearby hotels were full. We got the very last available room here at Turnpike, and it was great! I would absolutely stay there again!

Clean room, great prices.

Manager said the price to stay would be less because they were running a weekend special. She could have not said anything and I would have been no wiser!

Motorcycle Friendly: Second time I have stayed here to ride the local road on my motorcycle and they let me park right outside my room to get my bike out of the rain. They also provide junk towels to dry of your M/C if you’d like.

Will be back in for a week in April 2021 at least

Old fashioned motel right off the turnpike! Updated rooms, comfy beds, working AC, hot showers, very clean, pet friendly. Only complaints are they don’t take online payments — you have to pay on site — and I wish we’d had 2 queens instead of 2 doubles. Neither were dealbreakers.

We were making a quick, but important trip to West Virginia. We spent the night at the Turnpike Motel in Princeton, WV. It was a very budget friendly motel, and in addition very clean and comfortable. Plenty of places to eat within a short walk or short drive. Staff was very nice and knowledgeable and offered some excellent suggestions for our stay.

This motel was very clean (a must for me). It has been remodeled and the beds were comfortable. My only recommendation would be to change the toilets to ADA compliant ones. Toilet was small, reminded me of the ones in elementary school. Definitely will stay on our way through again next year!

Excellent location, very clean and comfortable! Pet friendly as well! Worth the price of the stay, friendly staff!! Great place for families!! Many places to eat all around, and quiet! Would definitely return on our next trip through.
