Dolly's Diner

My wife and I were heading North from Florida and stayed the night nearby. We saw this place as we headed out in the morning and decided to try it. We were very pleasantly surprised as we entered. We don't' have many "real" diners where we live, and this had all the atmosphere of a "real" diner. We were greeted immediately and seated. Coffee was served hot and very good. Our server was very friendly and attentive the entire time. Our food was served quickly, served hot, and our eggs cooked exactly as ordered. Our breakfast was delicious. If we ever go this way again, we will definitely include Dolly's Diner.

My food was excellent. Philly cheesteak was tender and delicious. It was great, and so were the chili cheese fries. Great diner spot to visit in WV! My wife and I enjoyed it.. God bless! 😋 🍽

Update: The service is still phenomenal, and the food is still delectable! Our server, I think her name is G, was knowledgeable and courteous answering my questions. She even suggested some honey mustard for my sweet potato fries. Y'all, that brought my whole tasting experience to another level! Too good!! We look forward to returning in the future.

Very fast, friendly, and tasty service.

Amazing food and the service was over the top good. Tons of food options too. We were very pleased with dinner and this cute retro diner in general.

Came on the recommendation of some folks at the Princeton Railway Museum. Was not disappointed, great atmosphere, friendly and courteous staff. Had the "Big Bopper breakfast " served fresh and hot. Big fan of diners with neon lighting, but what I thought was neon was actually "rope lighting," but looking great. Locally owned and operated, owners was on site and greeted most customers. Thank you Amber your service was amazing. Love this diner! I had the signature sandwich. It was really good. My husband had a cheese burger and fries. I wish we had one closer to Buffalo, NY. Dolly would get a lot of business.

Such a find! We were charging our EV across the street (road trip!!) and noticed the diner in the distance. So we decided to give it a try.

We got seated quickly and had drinks on the table before we knew it. Our server (Miranda) was great! She made some excellent suggestions. After placing our order, we were thanked for coming into Dolly's by this couple that had been seated over in the corner. We asked our waitress who that couple was. She told us it was Dolly and her husband. They seemed like a genuinely nice couple. Miranda couldn't say nicer things about Mrs. Dolly. You could tell that she really enjoyed being around good people that valued their staff.

Now on to the food... Of course being at a diner, you have to get coffee and breakfast even though it was 9:30 at night. The eggs, pancakes, and sausage were cooked perfectly. My wife decided to be a rebble and get a grilled cheese and tomato soup. She said it hit the spot.

Hearing that Dolly cooks the desserts, we decided to get a couple of desserts to take back to our hotel room. Banana pudding and Butterscotch Lush pie. Omg... both were amazing.

The next time we are driving through this area, we will make sure we stop in for a bite to eat and friendly smiles!

Great choice for a meal...First time visit and guaranteed not last. Super friendly and welcoming staff. Our server Tyler was cool, attentive and polite. We had their Dolly burgers and they were amazingly good. Great variety of comfort foods in their menu. Daily specials but please please please have a dessert. You will love them....I bought 5...yes 5

There is nothing bad to say about "Dolly's Diner". We visited on 2/24/2024 for dinner and we were impressed by our attentive waitress along with the welcoming atmosphere we experienced at Dolly's. The food was excellent (I had the chilli cheese fries, Philly cheese steak wrap and a house salad) and my stomach said thank you with every bite. Dolly's is certainly a hidden gem for Mercer county and with restaurant food prices steadily increasing we felt that for the service we experienced along with the atmosphere and food quality, we couldn't have made a better choice than being patrons of Dolly's that day. We will certainly return soon.

We went on a busy Saturday. The staff was very friendly and kind even though the toddler spilled our soda pop. Had the Philly Cheese Steak and it was very good. Kids ate the chicken fingers and also loved them. Everything was hot and tasted very good. Worth following the signs from the expressway.

Just like an east coast diner in NJ or NY, the menu is extensive and the food is great. Tried the Philly cheesesteak and it brought me back to that Philly flavor I love. Hubby said it was one of the best omelettes he ever had. Holy cow cake was holy cow good. Great service, staff used iPads, and food arrived hot and fast. Glad we decided to eat local in Princeton, WV.

Awesome food. Excellent atmosphere. Competent and courteous wait staff. Not too expensive. Would recommend to anyone.

This place was amazing, we stopped there for Thanksgiving dinner on our way through from North Carolina to Wisconsin. The dinner was free for anyone wanting a thanksgiving meal. Dolly came out from the kitchen to see how everyone was doing and wished all a Happy Thanksgiving.
She only asked that you tipped the waitresses who volunteered to work that day...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dolly's Diner in Princeton, WV, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. This charming little diner has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit.

To begin our meal, we ordered a few appetizers to share. The hush puppies were a real standout. They were crispy on the outside, yet fluffy and flavorful on the inside. The breaded mushrooms were also a hit, with a satisfying crunch and a savory taste that left us wanting more. The fried pickles were a unique twist on a classic, and they had the perfect balance of tanginess and crispiness.

Moving on to the main course, we tried the Dolly Burger and the grilled cheese sandwich. The Dolly Burger was a mouthwatering delight. The patty was juicy and cooked to perfection, and the toppings added just the right amount of flavor and texture. The grilled cheese sandwich was a comforting classic, with gooey cheese oozing out from between perfectly toasted bread slices. Very busy but we were able to sit immediately. Obviously a popular location and very well advertised on I-77. I chose because of the signage. We got our drinks fast and ordered. The wait for the food was rough. It took at least 30 minutes plus. I would deduct a star here but honestly the food was hot and delicious. The signature Philly cheese steak was unbelievable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. I would also recommend any dish. My kids loved there waffles and my grandma was stuffed. Pleasant except the wait for the food. But because of the excellent freshness, this place is a winner!

What can I say
very nice place whenever I go to the north I like to eat in these types of restaurants , very American and I say this because I am Latin and you hardly see Latin or brown people there but that does not take away from the fact that they have a tremendous kindness for him customer always everything very clean and their food is very good I ordered some chunky chicken with mushroom and chips very delicious I recommend them and don't forget to give your tips for the girls

What a pleasant dining experience. First, we were greeted and seated immediately. The food was delicious, hot and fast. Try the Mac and Cheese Bites! Our server was great and the owner took the time to come ask us about our meal. Last, we tried the banana split and peanut butter pie. So good! We will be back.

Everything you can ask for in a diner. Good home cooking, noisy atmosphere and wonderful energy. Bobbie was great! All the wait staff was smiling, you could tell they enjoy their jobs. Can't wait to go back for a coffee milkshake.

We stopped at this charming retro diner on our way home from a trip to West Virginia. Conveniently located off the interstate and close to the Virginia visitors center, you can eat well, then stock up on souvenirs.
The food was very good and there is a wide variety on the menu, from breakfast items (omelets, pancakes, breakfast platters with eggs and other goodies) to lunch and dinner (burgers, chicken, etc). I had the bacon cheese burger and home fries. The bacon was crispy, exactly how I like it. My husband had a platter with country fried steak, eggs and home fries. We both really enjoyed our food and wished we had room for dessert.
The service is fast and friendly. We came at a very busy time, between 11:30 and 12, but were seated promptly and soon were eating .
I would definitely visit again and would save room for dessert next time!😁

Food was so delicious and fresh. The entire staff works together like a clock, a well oiled machine the service was amazing and kind and attentive.
