The Island

Outstanding! I was looking for a fun place to ride my Harley to (I live in Allen TX) and thought I'd give this a try. I was a little concerned after reading some of the other reviews about food, service, music etc. but I went anyway. I had so much fun I went back two says later. Both times the service was outstanding! The food is very good "bar food" and the sidewinder fries are great. (It's not fine dining but better than most bar food). The views on the lake/marina were perfect. Very well stocked bar with fair prices all around. For the riders out there, find back roads to Prosper/Celina then take Preston north until you are practically there. Preston is very rural up there. (I went to Anna then west on 455 through Weston and in to Preston. It added 15 miles but was super pretty). It's 60 miles from lifetime Fitness at Lake Forest and 121 in Allen).

The island is a great lakeside restaurant. It's located right in the heart of Highport Marina and Lake Texoma . The food is great the staff are really laid back. The deck and ambience of the restaurant is great.

This is one kewl spot on the Marina; food, nice cold drinks and live music on weekends. Very spacious with nice seating and patio overlooking the marina area. Food was good, catfish basket was a hit and wife had the chicken margarita flatbread.

We had the catfish it was absolutely a wonderful catfish and the waiter we had and everyone that helped us were absolutely exceptional. I've been a waitress in the industry before I retired many years ago I know good service when I get it five stars for the service there too! We'll come back again!

REALLY good food! Fried avocado may sound odd, but you must try! It's delicious!! The service is great, live music great, cold drinks and a walk to the boat?!?!... GREAT!!! This is a "go-to" for a day at the lake, beach or date night. Highly recommend.

It's closed for winter as I write this review... making me miss lake season! lol!!

Cheyenne was an amazing server she made the experience the best!!! You cant beat the atmosphere at this place.

This is our 2nd time here and we have really enjoyed the restaurant, the food, and the view! We have a shout out to Lyndsey our waitress! She is amazing. My dad had a $5 fly away into the water by the rock shore. Lindsey immediately walked cautiously down the rocks and retrieved that $5. She has such a fun personality, the service was above & beyond!

Love this place. The food is good, the music was great. The atmosphere was wonderful. I like that it is right off of the lake and there is usually a nice breeze. The food and drinks are a little pricey.

Food, service, and ambiance were outstanding. I recommend the cheesecake egg rolls for desert.

Good food and good vibe. Probably won't be the best meal you've ever had but definitely good food. Great atmosphere overlooking the lake and plenty of parking for your boat or car.

Great view of the lake, all of the staff were friendly & knowledgeable. Be sure to try the fried catfish & island burger.

We frequent the island bar & grill quiet often. The food is great, the view is spectacular. Service is always been excellent, Stevie has always been one of our favorite servers of all time.
