Burns Run West Campground

I’m hesitant to write a great review because I don’t want this place to fill up! 🤣 I have spent the last 10+ years driving from Texas to the Florida to visit a good beach, and I seriously don’t know why when this place is this close.

Now with 2 small children, this will be our go to spot. Or 2 year old LOVED being able to walk so far off the shore into the knee deep water. The playground was an added plus. Clean facilities great RV spots. We will be back on a regular basis

Best place to camp in Oklahoma and Lake texoma. The staff is helpful and the best beaches .They have shaded sites, and B sites are our preferred sites. We get an amazing view, and they are not too close together. Most have a small covered area and picnic tables. They have a small covered park for the kiddos. Restrooms theuout the park.

TEXOMA offers a great lake beach and clean grounds full of life! A must visit, tan and relax

We've visited 2 summers in a row now and we love the camping grounds. We feel secure, bathrooms are kept clean and well stocked with toilet paper (except for soap, bring your own). Showers, running water and electricity in most sites. Beach area is close to camping site. We'll be back! 🏕⛺

Great camping, good fishing, nice hosts, beautiful views, hot showers, and what more could you ask for.

Beautiful lake that seems endless, plenty of camping sites and sandy beaches. What more could you ask for. I'm definitely coming back to camp with the family. I didn't see a playground but there were a few restrooms around the camping areas.

Really nice spot with good parking and lots of space. Very secluded too!

Well kept placed, been coming here for 30 years. Brings back so many memories every time. The view, the sand, all shade from the trees. What more can u ask for...

Excellent Corps campground with quite a few FHU sites. Close to many things to do and see both in OK and TX.

Would like to give a big shout out to Karis Cramer, Parker Ranger. On July 1, 2023 a group of us were camping and there we several kids. She drive by, doing her usual drive through, when she stopped and offered the kids a small toy of their choice. In all the years I've camped, I have not seen this. She is amazing and we thought that was the sweetest thing. Goes to show that people care. So Thank You, for hiring such a compassionate person. And Thank You, Karis, for doing that.

Good place to go camping. Clean camp ground.

I don’t usually review places but i feel like this place deserves it, hands down this is the best campground I’ve stayed at, it has beautiful sites, great fishing spot, campers and hosts are friendly, everything else is top notch here, will keep coming here…..

What a fantastic park! BRW is VERY well maintained. We were in C09 and it was so level we never had to unhook. There was not a bad RV spot in the park. Community restrooms/shower house were very clean and well maintained as well. The pull through RV spots offered a lot of room between you and the next RV which was very nice and something you do not often find and all spots were mostly shaded. We enjoyed the multiple access spots to the beach/lake. Very nice playground and sand volleyball court. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

This is one of the most beautiful campgrounds in Oklahoma! We love sites B4 and B5 because they have the best views and they’re right next to the water. This entire campground has been renovated and has fresh concrete pads poured forth the brand new picnic tables and grill holders as well as several of them have a picnic table roof covering. It’s such a great camp ground and a perfect place to bring the whole family!

Great camping grounds! Excellent place to spend a weekend or longer!

Short drive from the Dallas area. Nice camp areas with large camp sites. Lake front camp sites so you can swim right in front of your camp site. Public day area for swimming. Day area has a covered playground, multiple picnic tables & bathrooms. Bathrooms are large, enclosed port-a-potty style bathrooms. Sandy beach front, but it's rather small. We went on a Sunday afternoon in June. Wasn't too crowded.

Very nice campgrounds and all the nice people. Nice. Visit if you like good clean campgrounds. Wonderful lake and great views also.

Not being from the area may affect your experience if you are not used to the humid conditions. There are quite a bit of different kinds of insects, and the nighttime offers a symphony of nocturnal critters. The lake's very accessible beaches can raise opportunities for casual swimming and fishing, as well as canoeing or kayaking for those who want a moderate off-shore experience.

Beautiful place 💗 water is not deep great for kids. If your dog loves swiming it's great for them too. Waking up or going to sleep with the sound of waves is soothing. There's roocks at the bigening and sand. So you might need water shoes or salndals. Great for a run along the lake.campsite A8 and A9 are great for big family's or with friends perfect to have a soccer game or volleyball. Not alot of shade. Has clean restrooms. Shower only has hot water.
