My recent visit to Island View Park left me thoroughly impressed and rejuvenated. Nestled amidst breathtaking natural beauty, this park offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Moreover, the park's amenities and facilities were okay. Restrooms, picnic areas equipped with barbecue grills, and ample parking made for a hassle-free experience.

We had a great time and we love the place. We will definitely come back and recommend this place to our friends.The only thing that my husband wished during our stay was a small couch to sit comfortably while watching T.V. Other than that everything else was wonderful! I would like to score it with a 10. Thank you very much.

There are kayaks and paddle board rentals on the beach.
Please, NO GLASS bottles or containers !

Island View Park in Texas is a hidden gem just 1.5 hours from Dallas! Beautiful beach, fantastic atmosphere, and friendly staff. Perfect spot to relax, swim, and enjoy picnics with stunning views. Can't wait to return for more memorable moments!

The have awnings with picnic tables that you can rent for 25.00 a day. They are limited with less than 10 available.
It cost 7.00 for each person to enter. Children 7 and under are free.
You can reserve ahead of time on line.
Punch cards are also available at the gate.
$50.00 card gets you 10 punches and $100.00 card gets you 20 punches.
Saves a little bit of money if there is a large group coming in.

They take cash and credit cards at the guard shack when you arrive.
Tables are limited and go quickly especially at the holidays and summer time.
You can reserve them ahead of time but be sure to check the weather for your date, they are non refundable.
The also have a small retail trailer at beach side with kayaks and paddle boards you can rent by the hour as well as floats and simple snacks.

Who knew there was a beach so close to Dallas? Went yesterday and had a wonderful time. The staff was friendly and welcoming. It was a wonderful day walking along the beach and watching the waves come in. We booked a covered space with a pic nic table and a grill which made our stay very convenient. Had a great time.

Very nice, very pretty beach park. Great staff. Walking to beach, it is a little steep going down. I recommend some pretty good shoes. Definitely will be back. Use the website, it is easier to pay for parking, entrance fee, etc.

We had such a great time at island view park. The kids loved it and our friend that was visiting from out of town really enjoyed it. The area was clean and beautiful. One of the nice things that really helped at the end was having a nice young gentleman take all of our supplies back to the car for us in a golf cart. We will definitely back again soon.

We just discovered this place on Saturday and happily came back on Monday with extended family for Memorial Day. The park is well kept and has all necessary amenities for a day spent by or in the water. We will definitely be back!

Our favorite little gem. Worth the hour drive! Pet friendly. Can be pretty packed on weekends in summer. My 8yo loves playing in the soft sand. The water is great, with sand throughout. Only concern is there is quite a bit of broken glass here and there- but it gives my husband something to do, as he goes about collecting it along the beach and then disposing of it. It's his thing to do while we're there, lol. Great beach!

This is a family friendly beach picnic destination. Your kids will love to splash in the water and play in the sand. We visited on a Saturday and it wasn't very crowded. There are changing rooms and restrooms there. You can rent out covered shelter, although there are some picnic tables that are free to use. It's a good day picnic spot, just over an hours drive from Dallas. You can even bring your pet, provided it's on a leash. Paddle boats and kayaks are available for rent.

Our family had a great time! It was cold but we still have a great day. The lady at the gate was very helpful and nice. She was hospitable and kind. The place was clean and organized. We will come back and we will recommend it to our family and friends.

LOVE THIS PLACE..but something has happened cause it has dried up so bad! I went about 3 weeks ago and was shocked!! The water was far away and you still had to walk like a mile for it to come to your hips!!! I hope the rain helps it...cause hate for it to stay like that....
The only bad thing here is the flies are freaking beast, they bite so hard!!!! Have to take insect repellent or they will eat you alive.

It’s a beautiful lake with wide range. You can’t see the end of the lake. This lake is a border between Oklahoma and Texas .There was beach with smoothing sand. Water was very clean and transparent to take bath. Walking along the beach at the time of sunset was very peaceful. There was a volleyball ground. There was many shaded wooden sitting places to chill-out with foods. Overall view was very nice.

This was the BEST place we have ever visited on the lake! The whole area is spotless. There is plenty of beach so everyone isn’t cramped together.

Easy commute, family and pet friendly as well. They have soft sandy beach areas exclusively for swimming and a dedicated fishing site. There's a volleyball net set up and kayak rental on the swimming side if you are so inclined. ⁰The staff are super friendly and helpful there! Definitely going again.

Great place for a relaxing day at the beach. The employees were extremely helpful, as we had a couple mixups with reservations, and they were patient and kind to us when working it all out. We felt safe and had a blast!

One warning though, this beach has a loooot of rocks right on the beach when entering the water. Once you are past the rocks it’s soft and sandy, but I heavily recommend bringing swimming shoes - luckily they have a small shop that sells them! For the owners - my only recommendation would be carving out a couple “main” entry points and removing the rocks, so people can walk safely into the water.

I flew my drone around and got a couple good shots of the beach, plenty of room to spread out and enjoy.

Nice park, decent beach, no trash on it. Pet friendly. No boat ramp. 2 restrooms and 1 portapot. No camping. You can rent Kayaks and plastic chairs. Staff is friendly and welcoming.
They should promote the season pass more and make people more aware of it. I suggest catching people leaving and promote the season pass.

Had my daughter's birthday party here with a ton of her friends. Staff was marvelous and very helpful. I really liked the exceptional portapots they are amazingly clean. Everyone had a great time and the help getting the 200 pound ice chest up the hill was very much appreciated.
I am wondering what the deal is with the catamarans up by the parking lot, are they for sale or rent? I would rent one way sooner than the plastic boats.

Wonderful place to be. Shallow water, fun place to swim and chill

We had a great time! We also paid the $40 for the shelter with a grill and oicnic table, so worth it! The changing areas, showers, and portapotties were all clean and well taken care of. Always an enjoyable time at the lake!
