Texas Best Smokehouse

We're traveling and needed dinner. Got adult grandson with us for this trip. Did a Google search got :BBQ near me:. We are greatly surprised to find an exceptional food place that's part of a gas station!!!! What a meal. I did brisket, wife did loaded potatoes (huge) and grandson did pulled pork. The staff is outstanding - friendly & helpful. I've eaten lots of meals at lots of places. This one is on my top 5% of places to stop in. RECOMMEND.

I am the pickiest person at I know, I am worse than a kid. I don’t eat brisket. I normally hate the way it tastes and I hate the fat on it. The kids working there tonight were so nice and friendly I decided to give it a try again, and OMG,.. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!! I will be Back next time we are though!! And I will tell everyone we know how wonderful it is! There should be more of these across the USA for truckers rather than fast food! Props to the restaurant and the great kids working tonight! Thanks so much!

Wow, where to begin? I guess I'll start with the brisket... Absolutely incredible! By far the best brisket sandwich I've ever had in my life! Totally blew me away walking into a travel stop and being greeted by the sweet smoky smell of Texas BBQ. The service was a solid 10/10! Totally surprised how cheery, helpful, and quick the staff were! Hisham, you really did your thing on that brisket! Overall I will 100% be back and will tell everyone I know about this experience!

Came to the recently opened Texas Best Smokehouse and had an amazing experience. Ordered the “Cowboy” and had some of the best brisket and ribs I have ever had; they even have their own “in-house” smokers. The store was clean and had a great Texas theme too it. Staff was personable and fast. Will be up back!

When I tell yall this the BEST brisket I have EVER had! And everything else on plate was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!

I got the brisket, jalapeño sausage, red potatoes and greens. I am a truck driver and eat all over this nation. This was by far the best meal I have had in a very long time. The flavors made me feel like my mouth was experiencing food for the first time. I will always be eating here when I travel by. Only bad experience about the place was the cashier grunted and dismissed me cause I did not give as much of a tip as he wanted....oh well...

My family eats there often and we all LOVE the sliced brisket! It’s tender and perfectly cooked. Cody and Hisham are always so friendly and accommodating! Great place to eat ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hishim & Emma were the only 2 working last night around 8:30pm it was 2 older Gentleman in front of me I guess that they were locals but from the interaction between the The Employees & Customers you would have thought they were family and I’m next & I be dog gone if I didn’t get the exact same treatment. I live in Fort Worth but because of how I felt welcomed depending on the time & day I’ll make that ride to get me some good eating Cowboy wished I would have gotten the blackberry cobbler now that I’m sitting in the truck with nothing else to eat on 😂😂😂 Lol

Fuzzy taco had the best brisket tacos and Texas best smokehouse general manager is a professional and wonderful encounter when visiting. Definitely will be back!!

Always a good experience, the very best. The food was very good. Our server, Hisham, was very knowledgeable about the menu, attentive to our needs, and made excellent recommendations. Will return often.

I was really surprised this place was so highly rated and recommended until I ate there. The food was excellent, and far better then expected. It's not a gas station with food, it's a couple food places and there happens to be gas and electric charging stations. I had the brisket, pulled pork, and Mac-n-cheese and it was pretty good. My companions got the same and ribs and spicy sausage and that was all good as well. Really enjoyed it and we were all surprised how good it was.

This is becoming one of my favorite places to stop. I absolutely love the warm welcome, and the smilingly face and the cashiers are always ready to help

We eat here all the time. The food is always good. My husband get the loaded barrel. It is so large that we started splitting it. They know us so well that they know to cut the potato in half and load it on two plates. They are always so friendly when we come to the counter and greet us with a smile.

These showers are amazing. The only thing the pilot credits will cover is the showers and fuel. I also ate the BBQ which was really good I can't wait to go again.

Great BBQ, I stop here every week to get a COWBOY Chicken and sausage best bbq, Hisham always goes above and beyond with great friendly service! Great place to stop by very clean!

As a trucker, it's hard to find good food At most truck stops. However, I stopped here tonight and was pleased with the experience. Even though they were just starting to close, the staff didn't hesitate to assist me. Jason provided friendly service, and his recommendations on the brisket were spot on. And the amount of fat on the brisket was so minimal that it was hard to notice. I'd come back again.

Finally a good place for smoked brisket. I have purchased several times and was pleased for the most part. I always ask them to trim the fat and they do. Certainly some pieces of brisket are better than others, if you don't like what you see, ask them to pull out another slab of meat. I highly recommend, but inspect what you expect.
